Starbucks better watch out! Have you heard of the latest innovation in wearable technology? A new caffeine bracelet called Joule aims to help coffee-drinkers avoid the spike and crash. It contains FDA-approved patches that deliver caffeine through the skin. The body absorbs each patch (the equivalent of a cup of coffee) over the course of four hours — giving wearers long-lasting alertness without the jitteriness.
The company just launched an Indiegogo campaign, and has currently raised $6,448 out of $15,000 needed. There’s no question with the amount of national print and tv press the Joule caffeine bracelet has received, this thing will be in full production sooner than later. What makes the Joule caffeine bracelet so amazing? The FDA-approved patch dispatches caffeine immediately — faster than drinking coffee — and has the same amount of caffeine as a medium cup of joe.
So just how much with the caffeine patch and bracelet cost you? The Joule caffeine bracelet will cost you $29 via the Indiegogo campaign. It comes with 30 caffeine patches, and you can always buy more separately when you run out. For you timepiece connoisseurs, there’s another option available as well, The Joule Time model costs $99 on the Indiegogo page. Keep in mind, while you’re searching for your next jolt of caffeine, the Joule caffeine bracelet and Joule time model is not kid-friendly and you need to be 18 or over to use.
Are you interested in changing your caffeine intake with the Joule caffeine bracelet? Would you use it? Share your thoughts below!
If you’ve ever been a fan of futuristic wearables in movies like Iron Man, where Robert Downey Jr. maneuvers a Google Glass-look-alike and makes a touchscreen appear out of thin air. Now there’s a company that is bringing that touchscreen even closer… skin close! This new wearable – Cicret, could have you saying good-bye to your smartphones for good.
All users have to do is slip on this bracelet to transform their skin into a working touchscreen. The revolutionary wearable projects a smartphone screen on the surface of your arm, along with eight long-range proximity sensors and an app. Each tap on your skin alerts a sensor, which then sends information back to the bracelet and then to your smartphone via Bluetooth. How crazy is that?
The bracelet comes in two sizes and 10 colors. Once clad in this wearable, you can do whatever the smartphone does — read emails, check the weather, play your favorite games and even answer your calls. The bracelet is completely waterproof, so you can respond to important emails or just read your latest e-book straight from your tub.
The developers are currently crowdsourcing their funding, and plan to release Cicret by next June. While Cicret only supports Android devices, with extra funding, they might get Apple users covered too. If you’d like to help support this crazy tech wearable, you can make a donation to the Cicret team.

Did you know that you can find top electronics from your neighborhood WalMart store? It’s True! In addition to groceries, beauty products and your favorite mobile electronics and accessories, you can find the latest innovation from Samsung directly at WalMart and Walmart.com. Just yesterday, I wandered inside my local (Long Island) WalMart store to find the new Samsung Gear Fit in-stock and available for purchase. Just in time for my Spring fitness overhaul, I’m back on #TeamSamsung with the latest in fitness-wearable technology.
The Samsung Gear Fit from WalMart doesn’t miss a step when it comes to integrating into my super-busy lifestyle. From early morning workouts, walking the dog to interviews and navigating the New York City streets – the Samsung Gear Fit, simply fits my lifestyle to a tee!
This wearable gadget isn’t just fun and for good looks either. It helps me keep track of my fitness goals, and even listens to my heart. That’s right, the Gear Fit includes a built-in heart rate monitor on its rear panel, allowing the fitness tracker to measure your beats per minute via its onboard app.
It provides much more than an everyday fitness band, keeping me up to date with instant notifications from my Galaxy S4, such as incoming calls, emails, text messages, alarm, S-planner, and even 3rd party apps that I may need are on the move so I can stay connected. Changeable straps in Black, Orange and Mocha Grey is also available so that I can express my individual style, changing the look of the Gear Fit to match my outfit or mood for anytime or any day. The Samsung Gear Fit, the industry’s first curved, Super AMOLED wearable device for the active and style conscious consumer. The Gear Fit offers the unmatched convenience of Samsung Gear technology with the most comprehensive fitness tools available, empowering consumers stay physically active without sacrificing personal style or mobile connectivity.
This Samsung Gear Fit from WalMart even controls music, and…well, does all the basic things most people think of when they think of “smart watch” (it has all the components of a smart watch but on a fitness band budget!) I’m loving my new Samsung Gear Fit and have been getting tons of compliments and inquiries about it all day long. For $199 from WalMart, its definitely a great tech additive to suit my busy lifestyle. What do you think? Would you buy a Gear Fit to replace your current fitness tracking wristband?

Watch out Samsung Gear, there’s a stylish new tech time piece coming to the market. Motorola’s new Moto360 smart watch is the newest addition to Android’s step into wearables. Driven by voice and easily glance able, this time piece takes a few notes from classic watches of old.
Motorola’s decision to go round is obviously smart, but it’s also bold. With most small, wearable components — including the screen — designed to fit in square bodies, the company was forced to, as its designers and engineers explain in the Moto 360’s reveal video, build a brand new set of components.
While we still don’t know a lot about the Moto 360, Motorola has just announced a live Hangout with Jim Wicks the lead designer on the Moto 360 project. That Hangout will take place later today, March 19th at 2:00PM EST. You can sign up for the event by heading here.
Whatever Google and Motorola can do to make the Moto 360 and other Android-based smart watches as watch-like as possible works for me. Style and technology should work hand in hand and one shouldn’t outshine the other. This Moto 360 (in my opinion) looks like we’ve found the first step towards fashionable balance. But don’t take my word for it, check out the Moto 360 smart watch for yourself below.
Did you notice that even when wearers are speaking to their Moto 360s, they’re not holding the watch close to their mouths, or to their ears to listen to its response. Now that’s a watch worth an arm party! What do you think? Would you rock the Moto 360 or is Samsung Gear more your style? Sound off below.
If you’re one of the many Fitbit Force users that have been affected by the recall and looking for an alternative device – move over Fitbit Force, there’s a new wearable in town – the Samsung Gear Fit.
Yesterday we were introduced to the Samsung Gear Fit, the industry’s first curved, Super AMOLED wearable device for the active consumer. The Gear Fit offers the unmatched convenience of Samsung Gear technology with the most comprehensive fitness tools available, empowering consumers stay physically active without sacrificing personal style or mobile connectivity.
The Gear family continues to expand with the new Gear Fit designed to help those consumers striving to live more fit and active lives without sacrificing their own personal style or their ability to stay connected on the go. Whether used as a standalone or companion device, the Samsung Gear Fit puts people in charge of their personal and active lives while staying connected so they never miss a moment.
The Samsung Gear Fit was designed to comfortably contour to consumers’ wrists while offering a vivid Super AMOLED display. It provides much more than an everyday fitness band, keeping consumers up to date instant notifications from Galaxy smartphones such as incoming calls, emails, SMS, alarm, S-planner, 3rd party apps while consumers are on the move so they can stay connected. Changeable straps in Black, Orange and Mocha Grey will let users express their individual style, changing the look of the Gear Fit to match their outfit or mood for any type of activity. Check out video below.
It’ll receive notifications, track your heart rate, control music, and…well, do all the basic things most people think of when they think of “smart watch.” Will the Gear fit usher in a whole new world of wearables for the future? I sure hope so. What do you think? Would you buy a Gear Fit to replace your current fitness tracking wristband?
