The Salon International De La Haute Horlogerie in Geneva is the premier place where luxury watch brads display their latest creations in the world. I got to spot the latest trend in gold tones and hues (…and if you’re thinking rose gold is still haute to trot – then you’re sooo last season…) Take a gander at what W Magazine boasts as the top timepieces for 2012 and let us know if these are lust-worthy or just a bust.

One Watch to Watch…

Watchmakers Ziiiro have launched their two latest models, the Gravity and the Mercury, both of which share one distinctly futuristic touch: their hands have been replaced by glowing concentric circles. The watches, which look like some pie in the sky concept but are actually available for preorder right now, have a fat circle to indicate the hour and a thin one to indicate the minute. If you’re looking for seconds, well, you’re just asking too much. If you’re still not sure how you feel about the new geometric time-telling scheme, you can practice with their similarly styled app.

We knew this would happen soon enough…the iPod Nano Watch (compliments of HEX)
These new funky-color silicone bands from Hex actually make Apple’s iPod look like a cutesy-retro timepiece (remember the calculator watch?).
The $24.95 Hex band has a pop-in design which incorporates the Nano into the watch. It has integrated control buttons and comes in 9 colors. It’s cute, it’s retro, it’s functional and Gadgetnistas – IT’S FOR YOU
