Wondering why #EsuranceSave30 is trending on Twitter this morning? Esurance is giving consumers a chance to win$1.5 million in a first of it’s kind Twitter sweepstakes.
John Krasinski announced Esurance’s Twitter sweepstakes in a television commercial that aired on FOX at the conclusion of last night’s game. Appearing on camera with a giant pallet of money, Krasinski told viewers all they need to do to have a shot at winning $1.5 million — the largest single amount of money ever given away using the Twitter platform — was tweet #EsuranceSave30.
Why $1.5 million dollars? This was the first time Esurance purchased national advertising associated with one of the year’s biggest media events, and in keeping with their efficient approach to insurance, they opted for air time immediately following the game. Compared to an in-game commercial, the post-game time slot provided a 30 percent savings = (totaling $1.5 million), and Esurance is passing those savings to one consumer using the simplest, most modern means available.
The entry period for the sweepstakes lasts until 1:00 a.m. PST on February 4, and the winner will be revealed Wednesday night during Jimmy Kimmel Live! on February 5, at 11:35pm | 10:35pm CT on ABC.
Have you begun tweeting #EsuranceSave30 yet? What would you do with your $1.5 million dollar winnings?

The Super Bowl Sunday tv commercials have come, gone and quite frankly has left us a little bit confused. Sure we enjoy funny commercials like everybody else, however this batch of Super Bowl technology commercials left us scratching our heads with the confused *I don’t get it* look.
One of the longest commercials during the Super Bowl telecast was the Samsung (Next Big Thing) spot. It’s 2-minutes long and the entire time I was unable to evoke the gregarious laughter that I thought Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen would bring (and then enters LeBron James.) Check it out below…

A very lucky computer geek got some serious face(-sucking) time in this sexily awkward GoDaddy Super Bowl ad. Hosted by race car hottie Danica Patrick, “Perfect Match” features the drop-dead gorgeous Bar Rafaeli making out with a ruddy-faced nerd named Walter. (You definitely have to have a strong stomach to keep your food down on this one…)

E-Trade Superbowl Commercial 2013
Of course we love babies, but really? This kid has been the the spokesman for E*Trade for years now (in reality, this kid should be 4 or 5 years old by now…)

Got a little time to relive the Beyonce Bowl (aka Pepsi’s Super Bowl) halftime show with Beyonce? If you can’t stop dancing in your seats and want to relive the Beyonce Bowl featuring ‘Love on Top’, ‘Crazy in Love’, ‘Baby Boy’, ‘End of Time’, ‘Single Ladies’, and a soul-stirring performance of ‘Halo’ then here you go!
Oh and did I forget to mention the highly anticipated Beyonce Bowl / Destiny’s Child reunion, that’s right Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams hopped on stage to perform their classic hit ‘Bootylicious’ Independent Women’ and more.
You can view it in it’s entirety below.
After that performance it’s quite clear that the real winner of the Super Bowl is Beyonce… that’s why it’s been renamed the Beyonce Bowl!
What do you think of her performance? (We predicted many of the performances but hoped she would’ve brought out a little more star power.) Are you anticipating her next world tour anytime soon?

Rebuilding Together’s 18th Annual Super Bowl Sanctioned Event – Kickoff to Rebuild 2013: New Orleans
The NFL Experience
(Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Convention Center)
On the eve of Super Bowl XLVII, the Super Bowl Host Committee will hold its premier community initiative, Super Saturday of Service. The program will showcase collaboration between the Host Committee, NFL, City of New Orleans, the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC), Young Leadership Council (YLC), the Urban League of Greater New Orleans Young Professionals (ULGNOYP), and the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity that provides improvements to five NORDC playgrounds and their surrounding neighborhoods.
The NFL Foundation annually provides a $1 million matching grant to each Host City, typically to be used to fund the development of its Youth Education Towns (YET Centers). Having a direct impact on the local community is a major focus of the NFL. Since the NFL provided a YET Center for New Orleans for Super Bowl XXXVI, the NFL agreed to creating a new initiative for Super Bowl XLVII. After several months of planning and collaboration with the City of New Orleans, NORDC, and the NORD Foundation, the Super Saturday of Service was developed.
The Super Saturday of Service will result in the renovation and beautification of five NORDC playgrounds and facilities, along with improvements on the NFL YET. Funds from the City of New Orleans, the NORD Foundation, and NFL Charities will be used to complete major capital improvement projects at the Lyons Center, Hunter’s Field, Kingswood Playground, Harrell Stadium and Pontchartrain Park prior to Super Bowl XLVII.

As a transplant New Yorker, I’ve never really been excited about football, let alone the Super Bowl. Honestly, before this year the only thing that interested me about the big game were the well-publicized television commercials. (Hey, I’m a former ADV major in college and was in the industry for years…what did you expect?) Plesantly, this year seems to be a tiny bit different. With the New York Giants facing the New England Patriots, this is sure to be an exciting game on the field and off!
To add to the Super Bowl fun and excitement Chevy announced a first-of-its-kind app which will allow viewers of Super Bowl XLVI to play trivia, interact with each other via Twitter, participate in polls and possibly win one of 20 Chevrolets or thousands of other prizes. While watching the Super Bowl, players can answer trivia questions or polls relating to the football game, teams, commercials and other related events. The cars up for grabs are: A Chevrolet Corvette GS Convertible 4LT, (6) Sonic 2LZs, six Cruze LTZs, (3) Silverado 1500s, aCamaro 2SS, aCamaro 2SS Convertible, and (2) Chevy Volts.
