It’s Summer! There’s no better time to invest in a great pair of shades than now. But which style is right for you? Different sunglasses look better on different faces. Sure, you could try them all out until you find one that works, but if you need a little help, here’s an infographic that’ll help narrow it down for you.
It’s simple: first, you determine your face shape by tracing it in a mirror and comparing it to the shapes on the infographic. Then refer to the second half, which lists your face shape and the sunglass styles that match. (It even explains why those sunglasses are a good fit for you, which is good to remember if you’re ever out without the guide on hand.) Finding the best sunglasses for your face doesn’t have to be rocket science, once you found which style/shape flatters your face best, then you no longer have to be in the dark when it comes to sunnies that suit you best!
Check out the infographic and discover the best sunglasses for your face shape below!
Now that you’ve found a guide that’ll help put your best shadiest face forward, which pair of shades are you looking forward to buying first? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
Over the years, I’ve realized that my style can’t be narrowed down to one or two categories. In fact, it’s usually an eccentric mix of feminine meets biker-chic or preppy meets athletic, moments. I’m always looking for small elements or details that’ll make my look standout (without looking like I’m thirsty for attention).
As a matter of fact, to know me means that you understand my love for individuality without seeking spotlight. (Maybe that’s a weird introvert characteristic, but I digress..) One of my favorite looks that experiment with multiple elements of style is this sneaker glam ensemble – where bling is king!
By pairing a sweatshirt/sneakers with a glam gown/chandelier earrings, I managed to create a look suitable for… well, I cover what this look was intended for below.
Top: “Jeweled” cropped sweatshirt (H&M)
Shoes: Liquid Metal Sky Hi Dunks (Nike)
I’d love to say that this was a well-planned “outfit of the day” ensemble – but I’ll admit that it was really a “I’m late for church & wanna be comfy” look instead. (LOL!)
What do you think of my mix of sneakers and glam? I’d love to hear your thoughts below.
Hello Friday! There’s no happier time of week that the day that we welcome the weekend! As the days get longer, my dresses get shorter (Hey, I’m pre-gaming for summer!) With my favorite mid-Spring (not-quite-summer) frock and sneakers, I’m ready to take on the weekend in style!
Check out a few of my favorite shots from this week’s shoot with the Fiat 500 L below!
Covered in Happiness from head-to-toe.
I love easy style! Chances are you’ll find me in everyday wear that easy to throw on and go! Since I’m a tall curvy girl, it’s important that my style feels chic and confident no matter what. So pairing a short and sleek shirt dress with wedge sneakers was just the style and comfort I needed!
Can you believe that on my way to another shoot location, I just happened to come across this colorfully graphic wall and said, This is it! The similarities between my shirt dress and this mural were uncanny – so of course an impromptu photo shoot was meant to be!
Shirt dress: Prabal Gurung x Target (Sold Out)
Shoes: Nike x Undercover Dunks (Sold Out)
Steppin to the beat of my own drum…

Hello Weekend, is that you? I’ve been waiting on you (at the door) all week long!
Cheers to the weekend & I’ll see you all next week!
There’s nothing I love more than a nice drive paired with beautiful weather, and when you add a flowing maxi dress to the mix – you’ve got the perfect combination for an amazing Spring day. Recently, I purchased this beautiful chiffon frock and I must admit, I’m in love!
For me, Spring is all about flow and coverage – many Spring days can get rather warm, while the evening temps require a light sweater or jacket. Because of this, wearing a long-sleeve chiffon-style dress is totally worth it as it covers and protects without being too hot and heavy.
Check out a breakdown of my Spring look below:
Earrings & Necklace – Charming Charlie

In preparation for a Caribbean getaway with Strength of Nature, I found myself in search of a versatile dress that could take me from day to night. Surprisingly, I discovered the dress of my dreams inside the windows of a store that I rarely (if ever) shopped in before… Discover where I found my new favorite vacation dress below…
Clearly, I am still too ticked that I found this fabulous Bedrock maxi dress from Loft. The spaghetti straps and bold prints drew me in, but the flowing silhouette and super sexy split made me a believer!
Available in stores and Loft and Loft.com – don’t be fooled, this Bedrock dress may appear to be black and white, but it’s actually a deep navy blue hue. (Don’t worry, it can easily pass for black and white while worn with practically anything!)
The Bedrock maxi dress accompanies bold prints with a sexy/strappy silhouette. The elastic waist will cinch you in, while the elongated 42″ (from waist to ankle) dress flows and moves with your every step. I loved wearing this dress during a catamaran ride in Montego Bay – it’s the perfect dress for any vacation!
When you’re on vacation, you need a versatile dress that makes you feel confident, feel sexy and make you want to let loose dance! This Bedrock Maxi dress from Loft is definitely it!
If you hurry, you can catch a sale at Loft.com on the dress plus a great assortment of transitional seasonal pieces today.

During a recent trip to California, I was invited to attend the NAACP Awards and after glow and had no idea what to wear. I had only packed for two other events and didn’t have time to go shopping (let alone find a dry cleaners in the area.) With no time left, I needed to find a laundry mat with a dryer and find one fast! As a Dryel Ambassador, I always pack cleansing cloths and a dryer bag with me at all times. Not only does it come in handy when you need it, the bag also doubles as a soiled laundry bag that you can use when you’re on the go.
With one spin of the dryer, Dryel’s quick steam cleaning made my dress look and feel fresher than ever. Without any fading or fraying the gentile cleaning technique was comparable to a dry cleaning PLUS it was quicker and cheaper than a typical dry cleaning bill! Thanks to Dryel, this all day look took me from a mid-day LA brunch to the NAACP Awards Show and after-party all night long.
Dryel is the at-home dry cleaner that uses the power of steam to clean and deodorize clothing – all in your own dryer. The patented Dryel cleaning system truly fits my on-the-go lifestyle! From last minute travel, to dressing for a special occasion Dryel quickly refreshes and renews clothing in as little as fifteen minutes. Dryel safely and thoroughly cleans clothes, protects colors and preserve shape without using any harsh chemicals.

Recently, I was asked by my good friend Ty of HelloBeautiful.com to spill the beans on my style and beauty secrets. Upon arrival we talked about the importance of beauty from head to toe as well as how to transform office chic looks into after work flyness. We laughed, danced to ratchet music and had a blast during the photo shoot for Iman Cosmetics.
Since I don’t have a typical office-wear wardrobe, (My real-life office wear consisted of a rainbow of Calvin Klein shift dresses and suits from The Limited.) I really enjoyed showing off my double-duty style and how I can take two very different office looks from daytime to night.
Office Wear – Day
Watch: Michael Kors
One of my favorite pieces found over the pond was this lace and pleated chiffon dress I found in London a few summers ago. I love how the feminine elements of lace and chiffon paired with the baby-doll cut exudes “girly-girl” to the tenth power. I added a jeweled cardigan and my favorite jeweled accessories to the mix to complete this office favorite.
Office Wear – Night
Necklace: J. Crew
Leather Moto Jacket: H&M
Leggings: 20 Legz
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
In true “diva” form, the quickest way to turn a “sweet” look into a “fierce” look is to add leather baby! I paired my favorite leather leggings, Moto jacket from H&M and studded Louboutins to transform into a rocker-chic look perfect for Happy Hour or late night/date night fun.
Another way I love creating day-to-night looks is by adding (then removing) layers to compose an entire day of style using key pieces. I used my latest (and greatest) find from the Altuzarra for Target designer collection as the base for my second daytime to night look.
Office Wear – Day
Shirt: Forever 21
Peplum Top: Forever 21
I layered a double POP of neon green with a sheer collared shirt and peplum top. (You can never wear too much neon! #NeonMakesMeHappy) I really wanted to liven up this monochromatic moment in living color and bring it to life. (I could’ve easily substituted this librarian-inspired look with a classic white blouse and black sweater – but if I’m going to be a librarian then I’m gonna be the jazziest librarian you ever did see!)
Office Wear – Night
Shoes: Forever 21
Night time, is the right time to shed the layers and take it all off! Once I removed the extras and added a red hot rouge lip, I’m left with this va-va-voom glam look, compliments of the Altuzarra for Target silky maxi dress.
These are just a few ways that I have fun with beauty and style from day to night. What about you? What are your must have pieces/accessories to create a polished look from day-to-night?

Anyone who knows me, knows that leggings aren’t just an essential part of my wardrobe… they’re an essential part of my life! From traveling cross-country to dashing in style without the fuss, my favorite leggings from 20Legz have been there every step of the way this summer and I just had to share a few easy-breezy Do’s and Don’ts style tips to help you step into easy flawless style with designer legs from 20Legz below.
Packing a punch with perforated florals
Sometimes you just want to celebrate with flowers. These Flora leggings from 20Legz celebrates any look with a splash of color, pattern and texture all in one. Adding this burst of color to any bold colored top instantly upgrades any look and takes the basic comfort of leggings up a notch with feminine flair. One thing that I love about all my leggings from 20Legz is that no matter the style, they’re super comfortable and have just the right stretch to stay in place for all day wear.
DO pair leggings with high heels or wedges, or even tall or ankle boots to boost the illusion of height. If you’re tall, you can rock your leggings with heels, boots, sneakers or ballet flats.
DON’T wear tight tops with leggings to avoid any extra, unsightly bulges on top or at the bottom.
Get artsy with Art Deco limbs
If standing out is important to you, the Van Gough leggings are the bees-knees! I always get compliments from men and women anytime I step out in my favorite art-inspired legwear. These art deco geometric print ankle leggings are 95% polyester, 5% spandex and 100% fun! During a racing adventure in Portland, Oregon I took my Van Gough leggings for a spin while test driving the new 2015 Dodge Challenger. Paired with my favorite sheer cobalt blue blouse, statement necklace from J. Crew and heels – I was ready to ride in style!
DO wear tops that cover your bumb! Leggings should always be worn with long tops, jumpers, dresses, skirts or shorts. Anything that covers your but is fine, otherwise you will give too much exposure to your intimate parts and that is never good nor stylish.
DON’T overuse color-on-color. Try simple black or neutral tones (or nude colors) leggings to go with a bright-colored outfit.
Feeling Needy With Knee Patched Leggings
Running low on stylish options, the Knee Patch leggings offers the perfect alternative with a mix of texture and monochromatic feel that goes with anything. Pair theses comfortable black leggings with a something vibrant and bright or just plain black and white (and leave the color to the accessories). I wore these on a recent NYC shopping adventure in SoHo and paired it with a floral tunic from White House | Black Market and geometric sneakers from Peter Pilotto for Target.
DO team patterned leggings with a simple statement/slogan T-shirt, a belted tunic or minidress for visual interest. I love matching patterned tops with similar patterned kicks, balance it off with neutral, yet stylish leggings like these and you’re set to go.
DON’T wear tight tops with leggings to avoid any extra, unsightly bulges on top or at the bottom. You don’t want to show off too many lovely lady lumps.
Thinking about taking the plunge with these vibrant leggings? You can find all sorts of creative and stylish leggings all for $20 today.
