So you didn’t get that shiny new tablet under the tree that you hoped for….WHO CARES! You could be the owner of the hottest new tablet to hit the market in less than 60 days…
Rumor has it Apple will release the iPad 3 on February 24, 2012 in honor of Steve Jobs’ birthday. Asian manufacturers are apparently working up a sweat trying to prepare the third-generation iPad for that date. If true, we’re just two months away from a shiny new iPad.
February 24th is slightly under one year after the iPad 2 was released (remember this?), and the iPad 2 was released slightly under one year after the first iPad was released. The iPad 3 could be the most challenging of them all to manufacture since recent reports suggest it will have a high-resolution 2048 x 1536 retina display. Such a large display would require additional processing power and would ultimately slow down production speeds, so manufacturers have a pretty demanding task ahead of them.
It’s also rumored that the iPad 3 will be a direct competitor of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and other “smaller” tablets currently taking consumers by storm.
With a third iPad already just around the corner, Apple is looking to maintain its strong lead in the tablet arena. Plus with a launch on Steve Jobs’ birthday, who was more than likely involved in the iPad 3?s development, expectations are higher than ever.
The national wholesale chain Sam’s Club is cashing in on the iPhone 4S money train by offering customers a chance to reserve the new Apple iPhone 4S before it’s release on Friday. Many customers received an email this morning announcing the reservation opportunity which will alleviate the worry of getting the new iPhone before its completely sold out.
Researchers anticipate the new iPhone 4S breaking sales records and Sam’s Clubs everywhere are expected to sell out of the device quickly. If you weren’t lucky enough to pre-order your phone online before the pre-order stock sold out, or don’t plan on standing in line early this Friday morning, this may be your safest bet to getting the iPhone 4S.

Have you made plans on getting the iPhone 4S yet?
After the rants and raves like an apocalyptic preacher, I preached that the iPhone 5 was on its way. Sadly enough, and much to everyone’s
disappointment surprise, it never showed up. But what did make an appearance is the latest and greatest Apple mobile product ever, the Apple iPhone 4S. (…and yes, I’ve heard just about every joke, funny ha-ha and sarcastic remark about the new release.) Today is the first day that Pre Orders begin and, I’m convinced, that come October 14th I’ll be one of the first iPhone 4S users – this is why…
1. Dual Core A5 Chip
For the past 4 Months (Since leaving my Blackberry in Detroit, while en route to LA and finally returning to NY never to see it again…) I’ve been using my old faithful iPhone 3GS. I got it unlocked while in LA and have been using it on the T-Mobile network. I’ve been forced to email, tweet and Facebook using
3G, 2G EDGE (aka, the slowest of the slow). You could imagine my excitement when it was announced that two cores in the A5 chip deliver up to two times more power and up to seven times faster graphics in the 4S above and beyond any other phone. iPhone 4S is quick and responsive, which makes all the difference when you’re launching apps, browsing the web, gaming, and doing just about everything. And no matter what you’re doing, you can keep on doing it. Because the A5 chip is so power-efficient, iPhone 4S has outstanding battery life.
2. An 8 Megapixel Camera
With 60% more megapixels than the iPhone 4 – the 4S has be re-engineered with all new optics to make photos look clearer, brighter and better than ever. Personally, I’m ready to ditch my iPad (which I use often for photos) and completely use the 4S for many of my blogging efforts – and a good camera like this one will go a loooooong way! (Did I mention it has face detection and editing features without leaving the camera app? Yeah, it’s that good!)
3. The New iOS 5
Boasting as the world’s most advanced mobile operating system and its new easy-to-use interface – the iOS 5 may be the biggest reason why I’m excited to jump on the new 4S ship. The new update claims to have over 200 new features – including, a new notification center, iMessage (think BBM for iPhones), reminders, Twitter Integration, Photo editing within the app, thousands of apps, improved performance/stability and a partridge in a pear tree. *whew* that’s a lot to take in RIGHT?
Up in the sky…it’s a bird, it’s a plane…No – it’s all my stuff in the iCloud.
Storage space and tracking down where you saved stuff is a thing of the past with the iCloud. All your apps, ibooks, documents, photos and music available on all your devices ALL THE TIME. Need I say more?
WELL I WILL….*BONUS*
My Assistant Siri
Siri on iPhone 4S lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more. Ask Siri to do things just by talking the way you talk. Siri understands what you say, knows what you mean, and even talks back. Siri is allegedly so easy to use and does so much, you’ll keep finding more and more ways to use it. I can’t wait to see how much easier Siri will make my life after October 14th.
Honestly, those are my reasons for making a pre-order and grabbing my iPhone 4S on October 14th – WHAT’S YOURS?
Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs, who died Wednesday, has been called a visionary whose work transformed several industries, including personal computers, movies, music and consumer electronics retailing. With such influence around the world, here are some of the world’s most influential men on what Steve Jobs meant to them.
“Steve was among the greatest of American innovators — brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it. The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented.” – President Barack Obama
“The way I see it, though, the way people love products he put so much into crating means he brought a lot of life to the world.” Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple
“His ability to always come around and figure out where that next bet should be has been phenomenal.” - Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates
“I never thought I could be so busted up about the loss of someone I never met.” - Ashton Kutcher, technology investor and actor
Oddly enough, I never expected to see the day that Steve Jobs passed away. As an iconic leader in technology (and ironically pop culture) Steve Jobs single handedly made it cool to be a nerd, geek & dork! The forward & progressive thinking of Steve Jobs created not only technology-changing computers & gadgets, but he also changed the way that we think about them and use them in our business, professional and personal lives. I’m certain that without Steve Jobs sites like DivasandDorks.com would’ve never been created, let alone successful. For this, I owe a personal word of gratitude to Mr. Steve Jobs & hope that his leadership and influence has inspired the next generation to go above and beyond in the future.
Thank You Mr. Steve Jobs (1955 – 2011)

Amidst speculation of months of failing health, the unexpected happened yesterday evening – Steve Jobs resigned as Apple CEO.
Now before you go selling your Apple stocks & shares, let us remind you that (as Jobs adequately puts it) “Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it...” With a methodical succession plan in place, Tim Cook has been named new CEO of Apple. The question is, will consumers take to Apple’s new CEO? We’ve grown to love our Apple products as well as the genius minds behind them and quite honestly, the new role replacements will take some adjusting. We believe that Tim Cook has the knowledge and know-how to lead Apple, but will the excitement fade? Will Tim deliever the always anticipated Keynotes? Will there be a super-duper marketing plan to establish the changes on the horizon? Is Apple Cooked?
We may not have all the answers (yet), but we have the Top 5 Reasons Why Apple Will Be Just Fine.
TOP 5 REASONS WHY APPLE WILL BE JUST FINE…
5. This Isn’t New For Tim. Tim Cook has repeatedly stepped into the interim CEO role in the past (2004, 2009 and 2011).
4. With such a striking resemblance to Anderson Cooper, you can’t help but to trust him to do everything right. (C’mon Tim Cook DOES look like Anderson Cooper.)
Apple CEO Tim Cook and CNN’s Anderson Cooper
3. People are not going to stop buying iPads and iPhones because Steve Jobs has changed his role from CEO to Chairman of the Board.
2. iPhone 5 anyone? AT&T, Verizon & Sprint thinks so. With the new release available over all three carriers next month, Apple could see its largest sales quarter EVER!
1. With Apple’s greatest days & innovations ahead of us, we get to look forward to
Anderson Cooper, I mean Tim Cook lead keynotes along with the bells & whistles that are meant to distract and soothe consumers into belief that everything will be just fine.
That’s our thoughts on the subject…what’s yours?

7. Free MobileMe – Currently costing customers $99/yr, this announcement may not be iPad related but since when did you ever not want anything for free?
6. The end of the MiFi 2200 Hotspot – In order to get with the Verizon times, Apple has to offer compatible service for Verizon’s 3G Network (straight out of the box).
5. Around the same pricing – This is not a typo. Apple has always offered improved products with the same pricing to remain competitive. DON’T expect a price hike for it’s new products, but DO expect reduced pricing for older models. - $499 AVAILABLE MARCH 11th
4. A preview of iOS 5 – With all these updates a faster operating system is necessary & details will be revealed just in time for the iPhone 5 release in June.
3. An upgrade to 4G – The Motorola Xoom struck first allowing customers the ability to connect to Verizon’s 4G network, now it’s time for Apple to respond (with an upgrade).
2. Dual cameras - You asked for it & in order to be competitive with the Motorola Xoom, Apple has responded with Dual cameras.
1. A sleek designed iPad 2 – Portability is key, and in order to compete – a slimmer, sleek and sexier design is inevitable.
