Swimsuits To Stilettos: Beyonce’s Teams With Stuart Weitzman and H&M
April 15th, 2013 by ChristenBeyonce Teams With Stuart Weitzman H&M
From swimsuits, sodas and now stilettos, Beyonce is stating her claim as “Queen of Endorsements” as she’s made more headlines earlier today with her most recent collaborations with H&M and Stuart Weitzman. H&M has debuted a few more shots from the “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M” campaign. With perfectly-placed flowers in her hair, she models a variety of swimsuits that she herself helped design (that’ll be available in stores later next month.)

Stuart Weitzman has just released sketches of two of the shoes he designed for Beyonce’s “Mrs. Carter Show” World Tour, which kicks off tonight in Serbia.

Weitzman has been designing shoes for the pop star for years, and she even testifies to having “literally danced a thousand miles in his beautiful shoes,” so the partnership should come as no surprise. For the latest set, the designer created Swarovski-encrusted stiletto pumps and military-inspired boots in both thigh-high and ankle versions.

Whether it’s bathing suits, custom Isabel Marant wedge sneakers or even cans of Pepsi, there’s not much this “Bow Down” singer couldn’t convince us to buy. Are you ready for Beyonce’-mania or do you think she’s over-saturating your universe?

Would You Walk A Mile In Jay Z and Beyonce’s Shoes?
February 27th, 2013 by ChristenWould you walk a mile in Jay Z and Beyonce’s shoes? Thanks to PMK, you and your boo can wear the lavish sneakers created by power couple soon. PMK is a favorite brand of Jay Z and his A-list, superstar wife Beyonce. Jay Z had a shoe designed for him last year- the Brooklyn Zoo – by the brand. His pair was as lavish as any sneaker could be, with an endless roll call of reptile skins and embellished textures for your feet.

PMK said: ‘The Brooklyn Zoo 1′s cannot be tamed with an elaborate combination of elephant-print, ostrich, python, boa, crocodile, lizard, alligator, suede, and sting ray intricately cut to transform the Jordan 1 from a basketball sneaker into the world’s most daring and dapper sneaker concepts known to man.’
As Queen of the charts and one of the world’s most famous women, Beyonce’s taste in fashion was always going to be pretty lavish. But her new acquisition takes super-luxe fashion to a new level. The singer’s latest fashion folly is a pair of custom-made trainers, made for her by high end brand Perfectly Made Kicks using exotic animal skins. PMK handcrafted the sneakers for Beyonce to the singer’s exacting requirements using a mix of stingray, ostrich, calf’s fur, crocodile and anaconda skins.

Called The King-Bey, the shoes, which have been given Beyonce’s approval, are decorated with gold accents. The price is as yet undisclosed, but a regular pair sells in excess for $350+ so this embellished pair would obviously sell for a lot more.
Would you and your boo rock a pair of these kicks? (Collectively they could cost you almost $1,000 to own both pair.) For pricing and ordering information, visit pmkcustoms.com.

Brighten up your Dreary Winter Wardrobe with Pops of Color
December 5th, 2012 by Fashion StaffAs temperatures begin to drop and sunlight gets shorter, color choices also take a nose dive. Summer/Spring bright yellows and happy pinks turn into dreary blacks and somber grays. In the more northern cities like New York and Chicago, people are less concerned with “making statements” and more concerned with keeping warm. Winter has effectively dampened spirits.
Fortunately, it does not have to stay that way. A number of colorful pieces can be easier incorporated into dull hues to provide “pops” of colors that will brighten any gloomy days. Read on for ways to incorporate pops of color to brighten your outfit and your mood.
Winter Coats
One of the easiest ways to add the color is to get a colorful coat. Designers like Milly Alexis are keen to the idea as well have made coats, like the one Leona Lewis is rocking, that will brighten any outfit immediately. Moncler also has a number of down coat that are meant to pop as well!
Bold Shoes
The ways to incorporate shoes to add pops of color are endless. Funky rainboots, bright pinks pumps, red ankle booties, bright oxfords…the options are endless. In an all-black outfit, shoes always add the perfect punch of color.
Bright Color Pants
Don’t be afraid to pop out your summer skinnies with a blazer. Those bright pants are the perfect way to add a splash of color without over doing it. They also double in keeping those legs warm!
Scarves
When in doubt, grab a scarf! They can be knotted, tied, or wore loosely around the neck. A vibrant scarf can be both practical in keeping you warm, and stylish in setting off your look.
Accessories
Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize! Your sunnies, nail polish, gloves all can serve as more settle ways to add pops of colors. A fresh mani and loud gloves, you can’t go wrong.
So don’t get stuck in the dull hues. Pack tons of color in your winter wardrobe and enjoy. Summer will be back before you know it!

Celebrate WithoutSole’s 3rd Annual Sneaker Ball Fundraiser In ATL
October 30th, 2012 by TiffanyWhat happens when you gather a bunch of influencers for an amazing cause?
Initial eVennts’ co-founders Evan Eskridge and Oluwatoyin Salami decided to put together multiple talents as a call to action. “We wanted to be the change we wish to see -a group of young people doing something for nonprofit instead of looking for profit. Pave a different path.” Which in turn created the Without Sole campaign that is spreading across the globe.

This mission is particularly interesting because it’s shoes instead of clothes, like most charities. Oluwatoyin Salami (Co-founder) decided on shoes because her father is from Nigeria and told her stories of him being six years old and having to mow someone’s lawn just to get a pair of shoes. His family couldn’t afford to buy him any and without shoes he wouldn’t have been able to continue in school. Her father is now a doctor, and she finds it empowering to think that these pair of shoes could be the foundation for many kids to go to school and become future doctors, lawyers and teachers. People often take shoes for granted and don’t realize that without shoes there’s not only discomfort but some major hindrances, like going to school, work and other public places that are vital for success.
The non-profit does a variety of events within the community throughout 30 days of October. The Sneaker Ball is an annual event where the sum of shoes collected throughout the campaign is announced. Anticipation builds each year as the amount of shoes collected grows. Last year 5,500 shoues were donated and distributed to those in need. This event is a very trendy event in which everyone dresses up, but wears their favorite sneakers. Everything at the ball will be fresh from the shoes, to the mindset, to the food.
“Being as this is the finale everyone should have a fresh mindset with our mission in mind and the hard work under our belt. The food will be fresh as well from Organic vendors.” It’s the launch of a new life for someone some where else and the launch of a new way of thinking for the locals.
Majority will benefit the homeless population in Atlanta, but will ultimately touch people globally that are otherwise unable to obtain a single pair of sneakers. U-Haul and TIWAWORKS are two returning sponsors again this year. New sponsors include Enterprise, Black Tie BBQ, RiousDesign, Vinnie’s Styles, and others.
The Sneaker Ball will be held on Friday, November 2nd at the trendy Goat Farm in northwest Atlanta – tickets are $10 online/$20 at the door and donations will be accepted for those that still want to donate. Visit www.withoutsole.com for complete donation locations, event ticketing and information, as well as sponsor and organization information.
