The marquee feature is the flip-up LCD, which gives selfie lovers the perfect way to set up a high-quality shot of themselves. Not only will you benefit from the NX3000's lens and sensor, but the camera's Self Shot mode will also automatically airbrush your selfies by default (you can turn the feature off for the "natural" look). You can also set it up to snap your selfie either after a 3-second countdown, when you smile or when you wink at the camera. Samsung confirms that it will host a special concert at SXSW this Wednesday, 3/12, with JAY Z and Kanye West. Samsung will be rewarding Galaxy owners with complimentary tickets to the show. At 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Samsung will be giving away wristbands to Galaxy owners and a guest at the Galaxy Experience on 2nd & Trinity in downtown Austin across from the convention center. See below image for details on how consumers can win JAY Z And Kanye West SXSW tickets.
Samsung has continued to build their relationship with Roc Nation since last year when they helped launched JAY Z’S new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. JAY Z And Kanye West SXSW performance on Wednesday is the first time the two will perform together since Kanye joined Roc Nation. It’s been since 2012 that their Watch the Throne tour ended. Additionally, Samsung will be hosting several concerts for Galaxy owners throughout the week (Thursday-Saturday nights). These shows will showcase a variety of music genres and will again be offered on a complimentary basis to Samsung Galaxy owners with Milk Music. Samsung plans to distribute concert wristbands only to owners of Galaxy devices with the newly launched ad-free radio service called Milk Music downloaded on their devices. They can pick up their wristbands at the Galaxy Experience pop-up location at 2nd Street and Trinity Street starting Tuesday at 10 a.m. CT. Other musicians performing this week for Samsung will be Janelle Monae and Gary Clark Jr. on Thursday, Broken Bells on Friday, and Cut Copy and Holy Ghost! on Saturday. JAY Z and his entertainment company Roc Nation previously partnered with Samsung in 2013 to release his 12th studio album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. They gave away 1 million copies of the album, purchased for $5 each by Samsung, to Galaxy owners, who had to download an app to snag a copy. The stunt influenced the Recording Industry Association of America to modernize its 55-year-old certification process to immediately include digital sales. Wednesday's concert will be the first time JAY Zand Kanye have performed together since Kanye joined Roc Nation earlier this month. They previously shared the stage during the Watch the Throne tour, which ended in 2012. Could this weekend be as epic as anticipated? I hope so!
Favorite features thus far:
Samsung Galaxy S5 - Fingerprint sensor. Galaxy S5 has a built-in sensor that will allow users to unlock their phones with a fingerprint scan. The sensor has other security functions as well: it will act as password protection for PayPal payments, according to Samsung.
Samsung Gear 2 - 4G Memory w/ Bluetooth music capabilities. Samsung decided to turn the new Gear 2 into a wearable music player, thanks to its standalone music player with Bluetooth player. Users will be able to go running outdoors or working out at the gym wirelessly by listening to music without the need to carry their smartphones.
Samsung Gear Fit - Heart rate monitoring sensor. The Gear Fit includes a built-in heart rate monitor on its rear panel, allowing the fitness tracker to measure your beats per minute via its onboard app. During the hands-on, the app was able to instantly detect heart rate and display it on the Fit’s screen.Check out a quick demo of a few of my favorite S5 and Gear 2 features from the fingerprint scanner to built in heart rate monitor coupled with a few moments of in studio shenanigans below...
