Yesterday, Samsung hosted a range of fashion tastemakers to unveil the Galaxy S6 Edge+. Hosted by model Bella Hadid and iconic fashion photographer Steven Klein the event at the Samsung Galaxy Studio in Soho also elebrated the launch of Samsung’s fall Lookbook featuring the brand new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Samsung Galaxy Note5. The Lookbook, which was shot by Steven and features Bella Hadid and model Xiao Wen Chu, is themed after different emotions and beautifully portrays the fusion of technology X fashion in a high-end, editorial way.
The Galaxy S6 Edge+ blends form and function with industry leading features, including: the best screen technology, the most advanced camera for high quality photos and videos, the latest fast wireless and wired charging, and an incredibly powerful processor. With increased 4GB RAM, both smartphones offer the most powerful capacity and processing power on the market, enabling users to enjoy more seamless multi-tasking, keep up with messages, post updates to social networks faster, and enjoy graphic-heavy games without suffering lag time.
When asked about his inspiration behind the lookbook, Klein replied, “Some people think of technology as impersonal, but it is actually highly personal and emotional. Technology, like Samsung’s, connects people like never before. It’s this sense of connection that inspired us to highlight the range of emotions that even something as simple as a text message, photo or phone call can evoke”
As showcased through this lookbook, the fashion and technology worlds are more inextricably intertwined than ever before. Both industries emulate impact and inspire the other, further developing this increasing synergy between these great two cultural forces. Through the creation of this lookbook, Samsung continues its long history of bringing fashion and technology together through innovative collaborations and fashion-forward technology. Samsung has taken over the Android community due to the innovation of their smartphone lines. But they also want to take over the business world. They have a section called Samsung Knox and Samsung Safe which consists of software and hardware suitable for businesses. I think it would be cool to have a new smartphone with the latest tech as your work phone.
I’m sure many of you have seen the latest features on the Samsung Galaxy S 4. Those wonderful features include Air Gestures and Smart Stay. But let’s be real, we don’t only use stock apps (such as Internet Browser and YouTube). We download a lot of third party apps that would work great with Samsung’s features. Imagine using those apps and features for your business.
Thankfully Samsung has noticed this would be a good thing, and they are now launching Samsung Solutions Exchange. The next phase in their enterprise takeover; Samsung Solutions Exchange opens Samsung’s API to over 1000 developers. This allows technology providers to differentiate and optimize their solutions by leveraging unique features of Samsung Mobile SAFE devices, such as the S Pen, IR blaster, Air View, Air Gesture, Advanced Multi Window, Screen Mirroring and NFC. In turn, Exchange solutions can take a multi-application, out-of-the-box smartphone or tablet and transform it into a purpose-driven business tool for a specific industry.
What Services Does Samsung Solutions Exchange Offer?
“The Samsung Solutions Exchange harnesses an ecosystem of leading third party mobility companies, including developers, MDM providers and sales channels, to systematically identify unique customer requirements and rapidly deliver end-to-end solutions. This proactive development of scalable products allows businesses to harness the value of mobile technology faster and enjoy the benefits sooner.
The Samsung Solutions Exchange delivers a range of offerings from third party providers that increase productivity and ROI, including sales and management applications, mobile device management solutions, cloud services, collaboration tools and security solutions – all designed to make it easier for enterprises to succeed in the new era of mobile business with our robust suite of SAFE devices.”
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition) are also part of Samsung Solutions program. That S-Pen would definitely be useful in the business world.
How often do you rely on mobile solutions for your business? Would you adopt Samsugn Enterprise for your business?

Samsung just announced a new variant of the already-popular Samsung Galaxy S4. Some might say that they don’t feel like the body of the Galaxy S4 is sturdy enough to handle their everyday lifestyle. Samsung has come up with a great solution to that. There is a phone for those who need a more rugged exterior, more protection. Something more than a case can offer. One that is more ideal for the clumsy or the adventurous/outdoors-type. Meet the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.
What’s Different With The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active?
We’re sure you know the basic specs of the original Galaxy S4 already, so what’s new with the Galaxy S 4 Active?
- The body is thicker and it’s dustproof, waterproof (can survive up to 5 minutes in 3ft of water) as it is armed with the highest degree of protection available. You also get a water-resistant headphone jack as well.
- Instead of a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, you get a LCD one with a slightly higher pixel density.
- You are back down to an 8MP rear-camera instead of the 13MP.
- On the front you now have 3 physical buttons instead of just the Home button.
Have you heard about the company that Yahoo acquired? Have you heard of the new app that loves to hate? We know it’s a bit difficult keeping up with all the tech news. There’s a lot of things going on in the tech world. We’re going to catch you up with a few headlines and bits of information you may have missed. From new tech announcements, popular new apps and acquisitions, tech trends and popular tech gadgets & tools. Keep you updated with a little bit of everything!
So what are the latest gadgets, apps and trends talked about?
Have You Heard – Tech News:
Samsung has another device coming out!
Did you know? Samsung is making a smart watch. They openly announced the future product to Bloomberg News last week. Samsung is always in the tech news. The company didn’t give any details about the watch only to say it is coming soon and as a major competitor to the iPhone watch. Are you surprised by that? What do you think of the prototype?
Tech News – App Acquisition
Yahoo Agrees to Acquire Summly:
Yahoo has purchased the app Summly for a reported $30 million dollars. “Summly is a free, fast, convenient, and easy way to browse news articles, allowing you to quickly scan the news you want to see, before diving into the full article.” (summly.desk.com)
It received Apple’s Best App of 2012 award. It was created by Nick D’Aloision, who was 15 years old at the time. When introduced in November, the app had hundreds of thousands of downloads. After Yahoo scooped up the app they quickly closed it down to fine tune its specifications.
Tech News – New Popular App
On Instagram if you like a pic you see you hit the like button, if you don’t like the pic you move on. That simple. Now that is changing. Enter the Hater App. Yup. Express Yourself. NOT! Sometimes a piece of technology is created with good intentions and can spiral out of control and become a vehicle for being mean. People are using the app to hate on Facebook posts and other social media outlets. I hope that doesn’t happen. However, this app can serve a greater purpose for companies that want to test revamped or new product lines and have their customer base rate the products. That can be an awesome tool.
This is what the creator Jake Banks said about Hater App: “It’s basically like Instagram for everything you hate.” The app launched to much fanfare at SXSW’s Start-Up Village and offers users a personal stream for uploading or taking photos of things they dislike. Images may then be shared with the larger ‘Hater’ community, where they can be viewed by others for comments and feedback. That being said, it was never Banks’ intention to create an outlet for mindless negativity. “It doesn’t have to be so negative,” he says. “You might hate something so much you want to change it, which is the complete opposite of what happens when you ‘Like’ something.”
Have You Heard – Trends In Social Media
1. 2012 was the year of Pinterest and Instagram because people love consuming image-based posts. 2013 will be no different. Imagery will become even more important for social branding to generate interaction with followers and consumers.
3. Twitter is the one true real-time social platform and will continue to explode due to the easy access of live information.
4. Vevo is set to become the biggest music video site with YouTube and Google’s’ backing and investment. At SXSW Vevo announced their launch of a live channel to bring the next generation of music television online.
Have You Heard About This Gadget Trend :

Let’s see – you can immerse this in 600 feet of water, heat it to 200 degrees, chill at 30 degrees Celsius and try to crush it with 10-tons vehicle – it takes a licking and keeps on ticking. The USB 3.0 flash drive sports 32 and 64 gigabytes, cloud backup and encryption.
