London Fashion Week is in full swing and London fashion powerhouse Burberry took to their Instagram feed to highlight the iPhone 5s camera capabilities to thousands of it’s fashion house fans.
If you’ve ever been curious about the new iPhone 5S slow-motion mode, just check out Burberry’s Instagram feed. Apple lent the British fashion house the device to capture its pastel-colored Spring/Summer 2014 collection show as part of a cross-promotional partnership. The full show of the Burberry Prorsum Womenswear S/S14 show appeared on Burberry’s YouTube page on Tuesday. Apple announced the collaboration last week, noting that behind-the-scenes footage, product details, and preparation footage would accompany shots of the London runway show. There’s been a shakeup this week in the mobile carrier community caused by Sprint and T-Mobile and you may want to do something about it.
T-Mobile, which recently rebranded itself as the “uncarrier” among U.S. wireless companies because of its abolishing of traditional two-year contracts, on Wednesday announced a new program called Jump to give customers on its network more freedom to upgrade their phones. Starting July 14th, customers will be able to upgrade phones twice a year, with the first upgrade coming in no earlier than six months. Jump costs $10 a month and includes insurance for the phone. Customers will be required to trade in their old phone.
Just a day after T-Mobile debuted its Jump upgrade plan, Sprint has answered with its own new plans that promise unlimited data for life. Starting July 12th, both new and existing Sprint customers can take advantage of the carrier’s offer by signing up for one of its new My Way or My All-in plans.
The new Unlimited, My Way plans features unlimited talk, text and data starting at $80 per month. However, you can opt for 1GB for data for $70 monthly if you’re looking to save money. You can also choose to add 1GB of hotspot data to your phone for $10 per month.
And how will AT&T and Verizon respond with competing customer deals? Hopefully we’ll hear something very soon…

If you were one of the few people lured into becoming a new a T-Mobile customer based on the new “No Contract” ads seen on television in print, then you might be eligible for a serious refund. According to Washington State Attorney General, Bob Ferguson – T-Mobile has been deceptive in targeting customers with its’ “No Contract” campaign.
“As Attorney General, my job is to defend consumers, ensure truth in advertising, and make sure all businesses are playing by the rules. My office identified that T-Mobile was failing to adequately disclose a critical component of their new plan to consumers, and we acted quickly to stop this practice and protect consumers across the country from harm.” – Bob Ferguson, Washington State Attorney General
In a statement released by T-Mobile the carrier said that “As America’s Un-carrier, our goal is to increase transparency with our customers, unleashing them from restrictive long-term service contracts — this kind of simple, straight forward approach is core to the new company we are building, While we believe our advertising was truthful and appropriate, we voluntarily agreed to this arrangement with the Washington AG in this spirit.”
T-Mobile on their part has agreed to change its method of marketing their plans and offered refunds to anyone who signed up for their service between March 26 and April 25. The carrier will be contacting customers eligible for a refund or cancellation, but you can contact T-Mobile at 1-877-746-0909 or 611 on a T-Mobile phone for more info.

Following the release of the catchy “Fishy Fishy” tune heard in Fish McBites commercials nationwide, McDonald’s has taken the jingle “under water” with the launch of MouthOff McDonald’s. Developed by Us Two, MouthOff™ partnered with McDonald’s to create an infectiously fun mobile application that allows users to share fish fun with friends and family through Facebook and Twitter social media platforms.
With over 107,000 downloads, this free mobile app is designed for Apple and Android users, MouthOff McDonald’s allows users to choose a variety of fish mouths, such as Frankie the Fish or a puffer fish to sing along with the “Fishy Fishy” tune. Those who want to do more than just jam to the beat, can also log onto www.mcdonalds.com/fishmcbites to mix and share their own “Fishy Fishy” jingles.

Blackberry’s newest Creative Director, Alicia Keys wants her fans to star in her next concert video. In her first move as the company’s global creative director, Keys is asking fans to submit photos of themselves that will be included in music videos, which she’ll play as part of her upcoming tour.
Alicia Keys is inviting fans to submit photos of themselves via BlackBerry’s Keep Moving hub. She’ll take those photos to create music videos that she’ll play when she sings her song “Hallelujah” during concerts in her “Set the World on Fire” tour, which starts on March 7. Every city on the tour will have its own unique video. This isn’t the first time Keys has crowdsourced a video. Last year she created a video for her song “New Day” from fan-submitted Instagram photos.
The site also has a new video from Keys where she describes her feelings on the project. You can view it below.
Instagram is an iOS and Android app, and it’s not available on BlackBerry, so there’s no mention of it in the announcement. However, fans don’t need to have a BlackBerry device to participate in the contest — they can use any camera to shoot their pics. The only requirement is to submit the photos through the Keep Moving site. (Hmmm, the app isn’t available on Blackberry – yet it’s a Blackberry led promotion….I wonder if Alicia’s still using her iPhone?)
