Last week at CES 2016 in Las Vegas, LG unveiled its K Series, a new affordable line of smartphones with advanced camera technology and amazing features of LG’s premium models.
LG is offering the K series in two sizeable models, which varies depending on whether you get the phone with LTE or just 3G connectivity. The larger K10 has a 5.3-inch HD screen and available with either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage. The smaller K7 features a 5-inch device with an 8 megapixel rear facing camera and available with 8 or 16GB of internal storage.
Love Design? LG K Series smartphones is first to offer LG’s glossy pebble design language, a contemporary, stylish look with a curved, modern finish aimed at a younger audience. The glossy pebble design paired with LG’s new 2.5D Arc Glass creates a smooth and seamless smartphone with style that makes it look more expensive than what it is.
Love selfies? Both the LG K1o and K7 are powered by LG’s popular Gesture Shot and Gesture Interval Shot. Gesture Shot enables users to take photos simply by raising an open hand in front of the lens and then clenching it into a fist. Closing one’s hand twice automatically leads to the Gesture Interval Shot and will produce four consecutive photos. Both devices are equipped with Flash for Selfie on the front to help users capture priceless moments whenever, wherever the need might arise, even in the dark.
Pricing details aren’t available at the moment but it’s assured that both the K10 and K7 will be priced competitively for the market. What do you think about the new LG K series? Love the design? Are you fond of the specs? Are you waiting for pricing information to make your decision? For more on the LG K series get social with LG on Twitter, Facebook today or visit LG.com.
Have you seen the latest teeny tiny tech accessory that is guaranteed to make working on the go all that much easier. Techcrunch reports that this fall, tech giant LG will release a full-sized keyboard that shrinks down to fit inside your purse or even your pocket.
The “Rolly Keyboard” (no, really, that’s the name!) is handy for those who are mobile in their work. It’s a regular QWERTY keyboard featuring all the keys that you’re used to and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities. The keyboard is powered by a single AAA battery. LG claims that the battery life lasts up to three months before needing a recharge, which is reason enough to get this keyboard.
But it gets better — the keyboard rolls up on itself into a nice little stick that can slide into just about any bag, pocket or sleeve. And unlike other portable keyboards, this one is made of plastic, so you get that nice typing sound and feel. You can also connect the keyboard to two separate devices and toggle between them for maximum efficiency, helping you work smarter no matter where you are.
How do you make the most out of working on the go? Tell us in the comments any of your tips for working mobile!
Taken with the LG G4… with a special appearance by my favorite chihuahua Phoebe.
Being a blogger has its perks, and one of the many benefits is the opportunity to check out the latest tech toys and gadgets before they’re available to the public. Recently, I got the chance to get my hands on LG’s latest flagship smartphone device – the LG G4 weeks before it’s public release. As an LG G4 Explorer my experience with the device, I have to say, has been pretty impressive (#ExploreLGG4). If I had to sum up the benefits of using this particular smartphone, I’d narrow it down to four amazing LG G4 features that’ll wow selfie lovers, social media addicts, novice and experience photographers everywhere! Discover the LG G4 and find out how you can earn a $100 Gift Card from Best Buy below.
Front Facing Camera
Before jumping into the impressive specs of the LG G4 – let’s talk front facing camera selfies. LG has elevated the art of the selfie with the new LG G4. With an 8 MP front-facing camera good enough to be a rear-facing camera and a soft selfie light that brightens around the border of the photo preview window, it perfectly captures your most important subject: you. The front facing camera comes standard with a “filter-like” smoothing effect that helps make selfie skin look cleaner, clearer and photoshopped to perfection. Whether you’re among the selfie obsessed or you enjoy the occasional video chat with friends, it’s clear the G4’s front camera is one of the best options among competitors like Apple iPhone 6/6s and Samsung S6.
• 8 MP front facing camera
• Soft selfie lighting
• Gesture controlled shutter and display view
Now days, smartphones are replacing DSLR cameras as the photography capturing device of choice. As technology advances, smartphone cameras are becoming more sophisticated with improved image capturing and quality better than ever before. With a top notch 16MP rear facing camera and an 8MP front facing camera for high quality photos and selfies, it’s among the top cameras found on smartphones today. The LG G4 offers the lust-worthy manual mode for novice/experienced photographers offering 15 settings and over 135 options for photo enthusiast level control over how photos are captured.
• f/1.8 aperture for impressive performance in low light situations
• Improved Laser Auto Focus so you’re always ready to capture the moment
• 16MP rear facing camera and an 8MP front facing camera for high quality photos and selfies
• Improved Optical Image Stabilization steadies the shot for sharp, focused images
• RAW image file capture for the highest possible image quality

When choosing a device, the display is one of the most important features that could make or break the decision. The LG G4 offers a brilliant hi-def display that makes viewing photos, videos and the internet a truly upgraded experience. Plus, the adjusting display comes in handy for not singeing your eyes during those middle-of-the-night Twitter, Instagram and Facebook binges.
• Cutting edge 5.5” IPS Quantum Display for an outstanding visual experience
• 25% brighter display* for an enhanced viewing experience in various lighting conditions
• 50% improvement in contrast* for richer images
• Quad HD resolution with 538 PPI for incredible detail
Another cool feature of the LG G4 is the design factor with plenty of options to suit your custom style. While its slightly larger than the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6, at 5.5 inches the G4 offers the visual real estate for a dynamic viewing experience without feeling overly bulky in the palm of your hand. You can create a custom look/feel that suits your lifestyle via back cover designs in genuine black or brown leather – or the classic metallic grey or ceramic white.
• Genuine leather, metallic and ceramic style back covers for a premium look and feel
• Fits in the palm of your hand with a gentle curved design for ergonomic comfort
• Upgradable memory up to 2TB with micro SD card and a replaceable high capacity 3,000mAh battery
Overall, the LG G4 is one of my favorite android smartphones to explore photography on the go. With auto and manual options, learning basic and advance photography techniques is a benefit that only comes “built in” a handful of smartphones these days. Ultimately, your LG G4 experience will only be as bountiful as what you put into it. If you’re an avid social media sharer, photographer or even selfie snapper – the LG G4 is well worth the investment as your smartphone of choice. Available on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, you can find the LG G4 in store experience at your local Best Buy. Stop inside for a hands on demo of the device, and discover if the LG’s latest flagship device is right for you. Did you attend the fashionably fun Relax, Renew and Recharge event during New York Fashion Week? If you didn’t, then you missed out on some exciting smartphones and accessories from LG mobile. During the event, we gave away THREE LG G Vista smartphones from AT&T and had the LG G3, the LG Watch and plenty of other smartphones on site for hands-on tweeting, selfies and more!
I got plenty of hands-on experience with the LG G3 and LG Watch and I can’t help to say, I’m in love! There are several reasons why many consider LG G3 being on top of the list: excellent battery life, swift user interface and fantastic design. The device also comes with the following features: 5.5 inch, 16 GB / 32 GB version, 13MP camera and 3,000 mAh battery. This double duo of style and function is perfect for practically anyone. Check out five reasons why I love the LG G3 and LG Watch from AT&T below.
But First, Let Me Take A Selfie
Located above the display is a 2.1-megapixel camera for taking selfies. The 2.1-megapixel shooter has two modes to make it easy to take selfies. The first detects an open hand, which you clench into a fist to start the countdown timer. This is particularly useful if you’re using a selfie stick, since you likely won’t be able to reach the phone to hit the shutter. Or if you like me and have super long arms, you can tap the screen to simply start a selfie countdown. The front facing camera even comes with a blurring photo-editing feature that smooths out lines, wrinkles and fixes a flaw-filled selfie to perfection, every time.
Leave Your Money In Your Wallet With ISIS
I’ve talked about the power of NFC technology before, I’ve used ISIS wallet with other smartphones and with Apple jumping on the NFC bandwagon with Apple Pay, smartphones are doubling use as credit cards like never before. A simple tap of your smartphone at the register can now buy your coffee, lunch, movie tickets and more! Who wouldn’t love the convenience of an alternate paying system while on the go?
Want to buy lunch, but you’re still in the middle of drafting that email to your boss? The LG G3 lets you use two apps in the same time with its Dual-Window functionality. Harness it by tapping and holding the ‘Back’ on-screen navigation key, or through the button in the task switching menu. Tap on the upper or lower side of the screen to choose which side the window goes to, then tap the app icons, or drag them up or down.
LG G Watch
Who wants to press a button on their watch every time they need quick information? Not me! That’s why I thoroughly enjoy the LG Watch with “Always On” technology powered by Android Wear. Using the Google cards you know and love, this LG Watch has a simple new user experience which provides useful information on your wrist only when you need it. Trying to figure out what time to leave the office to make it to your next appointment on time? Once paired with the LG G3 device, the voice recognition feature intercepted text messages and alerts and let’s be honest, it’s overall a stylish piece a tech that any girl would want to add to her arsenal, right?
Want to learn more? The G3 is the perfect new gadget for “early adopter” types who want the latest and greatest without following the opinions of others. If you’re looking for a powerful handset that’s beautiful and fits seamlessly into your stylish lifestyle you won’t be disappointed with LG’s latest in smartphone and wearable pairings. Remember this fabulous curved screen smartphone seen at CES earlier this month? Soon consumers will get the chance to own what’s considered the future of smartphones. Sprint will offer the new LG G Flex smartphone online and in stores on January 31st.
Preorders for the phone start today. The Sprint version of the G Flex will also feature Sprint Spark, an “enhanced” LTE connection with data rates reportedly as fast as 60 megabits per second (Mbps). The price tag will be $299.99 with a two-year contract. So what’s the big deal about the new curved screen smartphone? Display experts say the curve cuts down on unwanted reflections, which can be beneficial when watching videos, reading or browsing photos.
The LG G Flex features a 6-inch curved OLED screen with 1,280 x 720 resolution, powered by a 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM. The rear camera has 13-megapixel resolution and the front is 2.1 megapixels. It ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software, and also has a scratch-resistant resin on its back. Check out the LG G Flex in action featured in OnStar’s CES Trends video below…
Are you ready to try out the flexible and curved smartphone trend?
LG G Flex
What does the handsome Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and LG G Flex have in common? Apparently, they both share the same miraculous characteristics.
Not only is the LG G Flex making waves as the first curved smartphone, but also as the first “self-healing” phone too. In other words, if your phone gets scratched, the phone automatically smooths over the blemishes on its own within minutes.
LG says the G Flex uses “self-healing” technology that the Korean press release compares to Wolverine from X-Men: a special protective film on the back cover is designed to get rid of scratches on the phone within minutes. That’s the kind of feature that’ll be hard to judge without seeing the phone in person, but those outside South Korea will have a wait on their hands — although the G Flex is coming to all three major carriers in LG’s home nation next month, the company only teases an expansion into additional countries at some point in the undefined future.

CONGRATULATIONS Becky R.!
It seems that LG is learning a thing or two about Samsung’s marketing skills. As everyone knows or must have heard by now, everyone is heading over to Radio City Music Hall tonight for the launch of the next Samsung Galaxy device (the Samsung Galaxy S4). Samsung sent invitations last month and they even had a flash mob dance in Times Square yesterday. Of course, they are building a huge presence by putting two huge billboards in Times Square.
LG seems to think, “if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em“. And that’s exactly what they did. They thought about their presence in Times Square. They had to think of a strategy to gain attention even with all the hype Samsung has going on. So what did they do? They advertised what they have “Ready 4 You Now“, their Optimus G smartphone.
What many don’t realize LG had billboards there before. You can see their previous ads below. They just redid the design to mirror Samsung’s. A LOT
LG’s billboard says: “LG Optimus G is here 4 you now.” and
Samsung’s billboard says: “Be ready 4 the next Galaxy.”
It’s pretty hard to miss.
What do you think about LG’s advertising prank? Was it too shady? Just right? Will this just help Samsung?
