Keep in mind that some outlets, (AHEM Amazon,) will be changing their deals leading up to Black Friday, so it’s important to check back regularly.
If you’re looking to upgrade your tablet or laptop, look no further! Check out the best Black Friday tech deals on tablets, laptops and smartphones below!
The iPad mini 2 is a great choice for those who want a premium tablet with a nice screen that don’t necessarily care about having the latest model. It’s usually priced at $268, according to Walmart.
Amazon is offering its touchscreen 6-inch Kindle for a $30 discount off its normal $80 price. The company says it can hold thousands of books and that its battery lasts for weeks.
Best Buy is selling laptops that run Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system for just $250. These devices from Asus and Acer run on Intel Celeron processors and will be powerful enough for those that just need a computer for writing papers, checking email, and getting online. They also come with 500GB of storage space and 4GB of memory.
Those looking for a nice high-end Android tablet that’s comparable to the iPad, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S2 is the device to get. The tablet is thin, light, and has a gorgeous 2,048 x 1,536 resolution screen. Target is selling the tablet for a decent discount — the larger 9.7-inch model is available for $400 versus its usual $500 price, and the 8-inch edition is on sale for $350 compared to $400 regularly.
If you need a new smartphone and don’t mind committing to a carrier contract, Walmart has a compelling deal. Any Samsung smartphone and the iPhone 5S and higher will be available through AT&T and Verizon for $0 up front. That means you still need to pay off the phone through the carrier’s monthly payment plan, but there’s no immediate cost. Check the fine print in Walmart’s ad for more details.

With my recent Facebook & Twitter rants about my MacBook trackpad on the fritz, an over heating battery and boredom of my 5 year old MacBook – I thought I’ve run out of options & will need to fork over a ton of cash for a MacBook Pro. That is until, the NoteBookCase for iPad 2 was recently brought to my attention. NoteBookCase for iPad 2 a new case that converts an iPad into a mini laptop. The case features a Lithium-polymer auxiliary battery in the body to extend intervals between charges, a full size bluetooth-enabled keyboard, USB port, and mini USB port.
Available on Japanese retailer Rakuten and Amazon for approximately $75, the description specifies that the case is not compatible with the new iPad, but I think with the minimal size difference of the iPad 3 might mean it’s compatible, too.
Who knows, I may not need a new MacBook Pro afterall…. yeah, right – who am I kidding! LOL

Last night as I was watching VH1 Bravo – I saw this commercial and I had a fit! HOW DID I MISS THIS ONE?
(Honestly, I think it flew right under my radar while I have been obsessing over the iPad 2 and new iPhone 5 rumors…) As you know, I’m a huge fan of customized technology and beyond the interior specs – the variety of colors available drives me wild! I love it! I want them all…of course to match my pocketbook and shoes…lol!
How did I miss this one? The Dell Inspiron Duo is a sleek tablet / laptop with transformer-esque design. Some of the highlights include: A flip design lets you switch from touch to type in seconds, listen to music, use as an alarm clock or view your photos with the Inspiron duo Audio Station and you can ditch your Kindle and read books, watch movies and play games on the 10-inch high-definition (HD) display! NIIIICE!

The Consumer Electronics Show brought out some heavy hitters in Vegas last week! Some ordinary and others extraordinary! We’ve scoured the convention floor, interviewed tons of product press and established a complete list of our choice of news-worthy gadgets featured at CES. Check out a few of the BEST OF CES picks below and let us know what you think!
As expected, CES was a tablet oasis with releases from Blackberry, LG, Motorola and more! But no other tablet surprised us as a serious Apple iPad contender as the Motorola Xoom (pronounced Zoom). The Xoom out performs the iPad in some ways–it comes standard with front- and rear-facing cameras, including one that can record in HD, compared with none in the current version of the iPad. It also has a larger screen with a higher resolution, supports Adobe Flash, and uses Verizon’s network instead of AT&T’s.
LG Optimus Black
LG’s Optimus Black’s 4-inch “NOVA” display boasts 700 nits of brightness, which LG claims makes it the brightest and clearest display on the market. The company even placed it next to an iPhone 4 to compare it with the Retina display, and the difference blew us away! Other features of the phone include a 5-megapixel camera and the “world’s first” 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device also has Wi-Fi with portable hot-spot capability, Dolby mobile, quad-band GSM, and tri-band UMTS. The Optimus black is the ultimate status symbol and it’s sleek, sophisticated design is sure to get the “nods up” from other CES attendees as well! Life’s Good.
Samsung D8000 Plasma TV
The Samsung D8000 plasmas are all new inside and out with new cosmetics, with better performance and new and unique Internet connectivity. The best kept secret at the CES is the new 8000 series plasmas (and 8000 LED LCD models too) will be able to connect to your subscribed cable channels and services (later this year) without a cable box if you’re a Time Warner Cable , Comcast Xfinity or a Verizon FIOS customer, something we have been waiting for since flat panel TVs arrived. Complete with second generation LCD screen remote control that allow you to view the same program or a different one at the same time it also comes with rechargeable 3D glasses for your viewing pleasure.
Samsung 9 Series
This Samsung Series 9 laptop caught our eye at CES 2011 with a sleek design including a brushed black lid that gives the Series 9 a look that’s sexier than the MacBook Air. Wait, A PC that can rival the MacBook Air? We think so. Samsung’s 9 Series 13.3-inch laptop isn’t only 2.89-pounds and .68-inches thin — it’s got a Sandybridge Intel Core i5 processor, 128GB SSD, and a bright 300nit display. It’s one beautiful system, and if the final unit can last longer than five hours on a charge it’s a winner in our book.
WHEW! If you think that was something – Check back for Part II of our BEST OF CES picks tomorrow!
The long-awaited iPad competitor will arrive as early as next week…The BlackPad. BlackBerry-maker Research in Motion will have a lot to prove if it releases a much-anticipated tablet PC. RIM has been losing ground in the smartphone arena that has been its traditional stronghold. Researcher Gartner predicts that phones running the BlackBerry operating system will account for 11.7% of the worldwide market by 2014, down from 17.5% this year. I’m a proud BlackBerry user…what about you?
