Who was your favorite red carpet slayer of the night? Who’s looks did you LOVE, HATE or made you feel absolutely UNDERWHELMED?
This weekend saw a ton of red carpets full of stylish celebrities. Celebs like Fantasia, Kerry Washington, Rocsi Diaz brought “it” to the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Trumpet awards, or just around the town. Check out our celebrity style favorites of the weekend below…
Our favorite “love-to-talk about” celeb Fantasia graced the red carpet at the Trumpet awards in this elegant Ralph Lauren white dress that shocked folks across the nation! She accessorized this look with jeweled earring and bracelets along with Giuseppe pumps. She looks absolutely fantabulous!
Want to recreate Fantasia look on a budget? Check out this ABS Allen Schwartz White Sleeveless gown that has the gathered bodice.
While Kenya was showing the nation her “stallion booty” Nene Leakes was seen in LA as well dressed down or up depending on which way you’re looking at it! Lol This semi-classic look with leather sleeve and ripped jeans looks simple.
An honorable mention goes to Serena Williams and Rocsi Diaz. Serena rocked this fire red dress with these Nike kicks. This is a trend, dress with gym shoes, has been kicking around for some time now and shows no sign of letting go soon as fashionistas are lending more towards “comfortable flyness!!!”
Rocsi, who left BET and is now a correspondent with ET, is seen in this nude and black lace embroidered gown from designer Mandalay. Her looks then to be a mesh of classics and overboard, this is the perfect combination.
Kerry Washington walks the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet cascading in white amidst cloud of bold colored gowns. Dressed in a two-piece Rodarte gown complete with a split V quilted top and flowing white bottom with a lace hem. She accessorized with a silver box clutch, diamond earrings, smokey eyes and a nude lip. Ask any Scandal fan and this look definitely looks familiar…
Kerry described her look as “Olivia Pope white” while talking to E! on tonight’s 2013 SAG Awards red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A.
Could Kerry be transitioning her look to appear more like Ms. Olivia Pope? Undoubtedly the most notable Olivia Pope outfit this season was her this ball gown by designer Jean Fares Couture.

Could Kerry be conjuring up the spirit of Olivia Pope for her future red carpet appearances? If so, we’ll definitely need to keep an eye out for Kerry Washington this red carpet season. She’s sure to have a few more surprises up her sleeves and we’re awaiting every moment of it.
What do you think of Kerry Washington’s red carpet look? Would you like to see more of Olivia Pope’s style infused in Kerry’s real life looks? Sound off below.
Now that President Obama has been sworn in for his second term, let’s get to the second most important part of this past weekend—the fashion! There was much pomp and circumstance in DC with some sizzling celebrity fashion to behold during the 2013 Presidential Inauguration and we have some of our favorite celebrities celebrating in the DMV below.
Helping to kick-off the National Day of Service, Angela Bassett looked sleek and stunning in all black with leather pants and jacket. She rocked a fierce short cut with auburn highlights, one of Angela’s signature hair styles.
Continuing to share her message of a “Heart Healthy” lifestyle (signified by Go Red for Women), Star Jones rocked a simple red turtleneck and slacks with the stand out being her red faux fur coat. It’s hard to believe either of these women are in their 50’s!
Later, he and fiancé Chrissy Teigen appeared at OurTime.org’s Generation Now Youth Inaugural Party. Chrissy looked gorgeous in a delicately embroidered ivory sheath by Tom Ford, with sheer sleeves and simple, black ribbon tie.
Fresh off the premiere of his new movie, Luv, Common was part of the several A-list celebrities that performed. He chose a more casual look with jeans, sneaks and a tee-still well suited for the event.
Eva Longoria, hostess for the Latino Inaugural 2013: In Performance at the Kennedy Center, was stunning in Vivienne Westwood’s peach strapless ‘Bellini’ dress. Down at the Capitol for the Official 2013 Inauguration Ceremonies, she looked fashionable and sensible in black suede, over the knee boots and scarf. Eva kept warm in a haute pink leather trench from Bally Resort Pre-Spring 2013 Collection.
Beyonce and Jay-Z stepped out in style for Bey’s rendition of the National Anthem (watch here, listen here). She looked flawless in black, floor length velvet and chiffon beaded Emilio Pucci gown, luxe fur Dior coat, Lorraine Schwartz emerald jewelry (80 carat earrings, 50 carat ring) and brightly painted nails in Tangerine on the Rocks. Jay-Z looked distinguished with a fresh cut, aviator shades, and a gray tailored Tom Ford suit with a navy and baby blue lined scarf.
Looking nothing less than presidential, entertainment’s own president and first lady showed how to impress at the 2013 Inauguration.
Which celebrity do you think looked the best at the 2013 Inauguration? Tell us below…
Celebrity Stylist, June Ambrose predicted last year that this year’s red carpet would be lend a lot of love to colors like Nude and Scarlet, and on the gowns it did. But, it was the make-up, or lack thereof, that really caught our attention, focusing solely on the face. Scene stealers like Jessica Chastain kept it classy with sleek hair and a sexy lip stain. And only J. Lo can shut it down with ombre-hair and a nude lip, elegantly thrown over one-shoulder.
Taylor Swift and Lucy Lui’s messy yet put together styles have a certain level of elegance with them. Lucy Lu’s fishtail braid is perfection.
Not many opted for a bold look, so when its done we tend to take notice. Julianne Moore, Nicole Richie and Jessica Alba all both opted for one bold color and we have to say, they nailed it!
Sadly, we didn’t see many nail trends on the carpet, but the funny and quirky Zooey Deschanel shared with her followers via Instagram her nails which featured vintage cameras and film rolls.
Which starlet SLAYED the Golden Globes red carpet? We’ve picked our favorites – but you did you choose? Share below…
IT’S OFFICIAL!!! ABC has ordered a full season of its hit political drama Scandal. This means we get to see more Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope! Kerry shared “It’s so exciting. I found out on Twitter. I went on Twitter and I saw all these congratulations on the pickup.” “Then I got an email from Shonda and then I got one from ABC. We all cheered. It’s very exciting.”
In anticipation to next week’s new episode we caught Kerry on the red carpet in Hollywood for the premiere of her new movie “The Details“!
Kerry broke out the bold prints and bold spikes for her red carpet appearance on Monday. Dressed in a colorful bird print halterneck dress, the Kerry hit the red carpet wearing a brand new design from the Mary Katrantzou Spring 2013 collection–which debuted during London Fashion Week last month.
Kerry completed her premiere look with a sleek high ponytail, silver hoop earrings, a glossy light pink lip, black clutch and badass spike-embellished black “Pigalle” pumps by Christian Louboutin.
