Swimsuits To Stilettos: Beyonce’s Teams With Stuart Weitzman and H&M
April 15th, 2013 by ChristenBeyonce Teams With Stuart Weitzman H&M
From swimsuits, sodas and now stilettos, Beyonce is stating her claim as “Queen of Endorsements” as she’s made more headlines earlier today with her most recent collaborations with H&M and Stuart Weitzman. H&M has debuted a few more shots from the “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M” campaign. With perfectly-placed flowers in her hair, she models a variety of swimsuits that she herself helped design (that’ll be available in stores later next month.)

Stuart Weitzman has just released sketches of two of the shoes he designed for Beyonce’s “Mrs. Carter Show” World Tour, which kicks off tonight in Serbia.

Weitzman has been designing shoes for the pop star for years, and she even testifies to having “literally danced a thousand miles in his beautiful shoes,” so the partnership should come as no surprise. For the latest set, the designer created Swarovski-encrusted stiletto pumps and military-inspired boots in both thigh-high and ankle versions.

Whether it’s bathing suits, custom Isabel Marant wedge sneakers or even cans of Pepsi, there’s not much this “Bow Down” singer couldn’t convince us to buy. Are you ready for Beyonce’-mania or do you think she’s over-saturating your universe?

Cash for Clothes: Discover Yet Another Reason to Love H&M…
January 8th, 2013 by Fashion Staff
As if we needed another reason to love Swedish fashion retailer, H&M. From sleek budget friendly fashions to monster collaborations with leading designers, now H&M is going to help us be ultra fashionable after cleaning out our closets for 2013. We all have items in our closet that would be better off in the trash bin don’t we? Wouldn’t it be great to take those old clothes and recycle them for cold hard cash? Ok, not real cash… but H&M dollars are just as good! Starting this February, 2700 H&M stores in 48 markets will be launching a “Global Clothes Collecting” eco-friendly sustainability initiative. There’s no better time to take those bags of old clothes and make a donation to your local H&M store.
H&M will be the first fashion company to roll out clothes collecting in selected stores worldwide. Through the global initiative H&M’s customers can save natural resources and contribute to reduced environmental impact by avoiding textile waste. Any pieces of clothing, from any brand and in any condition are accepted. In return, the customer will receive a voucher for each bag brought.
H&M meets I:Collect
H&M and I:Collect have collaboratively launched this program which will allow you to bring in old clothes in ANY condition into participating stores in exchange for a voucher for NEW H&M clothes. Based on their condition the articles will either be repurposed into new textile items or converted into a source of energy.
This program not only allows H&M to continue to be a leader in textile sustainability, but it also allows you the customer to participate in their global effort and be rewarded! Talk about a triple winfor you, H&M and our environment.

“Our sustainability efforts are rooted in a dedication to social and environmental responsibility. We want to do good for the environment, which is why we are now offering our customers a convenient solution: to be able to leave their worn out or defective garments with H&M, “ Karl-Johan Persson, CEO of H&M.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kanye West & More At H&M For Maison Martin Margiela
October 24th, 2012 by Fashion StaffLast night the stars came out and celebrated the highly anticipated Maison Martin Margiela collection with a launch event in New York! The Maison Martin Margiela with H&M launch event was held at 5 Beekman in New York City and included a bevy of stars, designers and interesting art installations throughout the venue. With guests like Alexander Wang, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kanye West and more – fashionistas and fashionistos alike enjoyed a celebratory night of affordable fashion brought to you by Maison Martin Margiela and H&M.
Peppered with the deconstructed shapes and exaggerated proportions that the French fashion house is known for, the range is bound to please fans of the label. Ladies can expect oversized masculine jackets, loose-fitting trousers, outerwear folded origami-style and dresses that drape loosely across the body. The menswear is equally as covetable, with sharply-cut tailoring and coats – one that comes in white and features shearling detailing and another in two-tone grey and brown check.
The full collection will launch in H&M stores on November 15.

Maison Martin Margiela Coming To H&M This Fall
June 12th, 2012 by Christen
How excited are we that one of our favorite avant guard fashion houses is releasing a collection with H&M? (*Cue OTIS by Jay Z*)
Maison Martin Margiela is a French fashion house created in 1988 that has always followed its own path, toying with fashion norms and using deconstruction and transformation to create new staples. The further you step away from the conventional fashion framework, the closer you come to understanding what the brand is all about.
I recently fell more in love with the brand & designs during an impromptu visit to the Maison Martin Margiela Beverly Hills boutique. The avant guard Interpretation of fashion & edgy style is sure to be reflected in the H&M collection. I’m guessing if you loved Versace for H&M, then you’ll adore what Maison Martin Margiela has in store.
The collection in collaboration with H&M will be released on November 15th in select stores across the world, offering clothes and accessories for both men and women. And we’ll have your first look from the press preview later this fall!
NYFW D&D Style Featured On FashionBombDaily.com
February 16th, 2012 by ChristenIf you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m not a complicated girl. I love jeans, t-shirts and overall comfort (first & foremost). With New York Fashion Week in my rear view, I’m reminded how I came into my NYFW fashion ideas with the thought of comfort in mind. Luckily, fashion and comfort can coexist under the tents at Lincoln Center.
Last week, as I rushed out of Lincoln Center to my next show, I was approached by FashionBombDaily.com photographers to be featured on the site for “Real Style”. (I had no ideas if I was going to be featured as a fashion HIT or MISS, but I was pleasantly surprised at what I found.) Check it out and let me know what you think!

Versace For H&M Press Preview Event!
November 21st, 2011 by ChristenWe’ve tweeted, talked, stalked and held our breath up until the day that the Versace For H&M collection was available for purchase…it has came, went and we’re still as excited as if the announcement was just made yesterday. Check out the chaotic excitement that was the Versace For H&M Pre Shopping Event…
First off, let me be honest – Am I a die hard Versace fan? No. In fact, I was an anti-Versace fashionista for a long time. Since the Versace for H&M collection was announced, I have had my doubts, snickers and serious side eyes on what to expect from the collection. Since reviewing the collection via online photos, etc – I still had a few reservations on what to expect from the designs in real life. But on Friday, November 18th – H&M launched a special Press Preview & Pre-Shopping event for their highly anticipated Versace For H&M Collection.

Upon arrival I stumbled across two lines – one line filled with people camping out for Saturday’s public release of the collection, and another line filled with socialites, bloggers, industry stylists, editors and more. In the blink of an eye, once those doors opened – all since of fashion civility went out the window and the ferocity of finding fashion gold became top priority. Spotted throughout the aisles were Robert Verdi, Bevy Smith, Diane Valentine and more!
Since I didn’t have any set piece in mind, I stood by the entrance and watched the H&M staff replinish the racks with loads and loads of Versace designs. Once I saw something I liked, I got the attention of the associate and asked for my size. For the most part, I got away unscathed (barely).
I didn’t want to buy pieces (in my opinion) that could easily be identified as apart of the Versace for H&M collection – because once the fad is done, then what? I wanted pieces that I could easily mix and match within my current wardrobe. Some of these looks I could easily pair with a blazer or jeans and take the look from day to night with ease. (Wearing the pieces all at once? Not gonna happen *smile*) Take a look at some of the pieces that I scored during the event and let me know what you think!
Versace For H&M Top – $49.95
Versace For H&M Leggings – $29.95
I just had to get the opinion of my Twitter family before I hit the registers…

Versace For H&M Dress – $79
Now onto my favorite finds….THE ACCESSORIES! I can definitely testify to the fact that I scored big on the accessories (because by the time I even arrived inside of H&M many of the fierce finds were already gone.)

Versace and H&M Brings Glamour Home For The Holidays…
October 31st, 2011 by ChristenDid this weekend’s deep freeze trick you into believing it was December? With frigid temperatures affecting the southeast and snow showers pummeling the east coast – many of us learned the hard way that summer is seriously long-gone and winter weather is here to stay. On a happier note, winter weather brings unforgettable holiday experiences as well as unforgettable holiday fashions with Versace and H&M.

The men’s collection will focus on sharp tailoring, including ‘the perfect tuxedo’, as well as belts and jewelery, while for the first time in a designer collaboration at H&M, the collection will include some homeware pieces, including cushions and a bedspread.
“The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace. For the collaboration we’ve brought back from the archives, as well as from more recent collections, some of the icons of Versace…I can’t wait to see how H&M’s wide audience will make these pieces of their own.” – Donatella Versace.

Affordable Versace at H&M?

Starting in November, you can expect to see a variety of bold colors & primal prints invade the racks and shelves (that is before the shopping natives ravage them…)
