I’m one of those people who suck at new year fitness resolutions, I just can’t keep it consistent and get it right. Although I’m not a huge fan of traditional workouts and get bored with workout routines easily, that doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy fitness activities such as bike riding, skating and more. During a biking summit earlier this month, I was introduced to the latest in wearable technology that would change the way I work out forever, discover how Celliant changed the way I feel about fitness below.

This is Detroit. Not bad huh? No, the city isn’t burning down in despair – as a matter of fact, it is alive, well and bursting at the seams with rich art and re-defining style everyday. While in Detroit, I decided to visit one of my favorite open art installations in the city – The Heidelburg Project. Known for its colorful backdrops of bright hues, political messaging and plenty of mixed media – this area has been around and re-defining how we look at art since 1986. The “My Beach is Better” event hosted a variety of fashion editors, models, bloggers and fans to celebrate the arrival of the stylish swim collection for curvy women. Launching her 2014 Swim Collection, luxurious and ultra-feminine plus size fashion designer Monif C., transformed a Manhattan loft space into a Miami beach-themed party. As guests entered the venue, they were greeted by ten curvaceous models in flirty and chic swimsuits on lighted platforms. With the room flanked by real palm trees and purple, blue and pink lighting, one felt like they just walked into a Miami beach party.
