If you wondered if Apple’s newest venture in fashionable technology would be accepted by the fashion industry, your answer is here!
There are actually two mega stars on the cover of Vogue China’s November issue. There’s supermodel Liu Wen, one of the world’s highest-paid models and Victoria’s Secret star, and then on her left wrist, the Apple Watch.
Check out the cover shoot below, after all, it might be the frontrunner for the most wearable of the high-end techcessories we’ve seen so far.
On the November Vogue China cover, the gold Apple Watch is styled with minimal accessories, and with its colorful interface, it definitely stands out and holds its own. Wen appears to be wearing the 18-karat yellow gold Edition Apple Watch, which features a red Modern Buckle Band. She’s also featured wearing other Apple Watch models on a spread inside the magazine.
The smaller 38-millimeter timepiece+ is outfitted with a thin red band to coordinate with the bold Ikat-style stripes on Wen’s Céline shirt dress, which earns it points for personalization — remember, this wearable broke from the one-style-suits-all camp with its collection of customizable, interchangeable bands. But what really wows us is its overall ability to fit right in with a cover-worthy ensemble.
According to Vogue, it’s definitely a step above many wearables on the market today, but could you see yourself wearing the stylish smart watch daily? Share your thoughts on the Apple Watch and the cover below.

If there’s one show I look forward to witnessing every season, it has to be the DVF collection by Diane Von Furstenburg herself. Always filled with statement pieces for the everyday woman, this collection houses much much than the iconic wrap dress – and that’s where the anticipation builds year after year. Who knew this season’s off-site show would house such stylish moments with gingham, the legendary Pat McGrath, fashion’s newest “IT-GIRL” Kendall Jenner and fashion icon Naomi Campbell.
My DVF fashion fun began hours before the show with lead stylist Orlando Pita (for CHI Haircare) & Beauty Guru Pat McGrath. Throughout the sea of beautiful models laughing, snapping selfies and getting their finishing touches on hair, nails and makeup – a commanding, yet motherly voice arises “Orlando, Orlando!” and in walks Diane Von Furstenburg herself.
After a few moments of praise, Diane and her team rushed to the the runway in preparation for the show rehearsal. One by one, the models dressed in bright and bold golds, blues and greens walked the runway for final approval before the big show.
Once the show began, everyone was all abuzz about Kendall Jenner walking in the show, but it wasn’t until the showstopper herself – Naomi Campbell walked the runway that upped the anti on what could be considered a great Spring show.
Filled with bra tops, baby doll dresses and plenty of leg-worthy frocks to go around, this DVF collection is definitely more vacation friendly than office friendly, but hey that’s what makes DVF so great right? I mean, we have more than enough wrap dresses to go around so this collection is a welcomed suite of fun fashions for any woman to enjoy next spring!
Check out more looks from the DVF Spring 2015 collection below.

If you’ve ever wandered about the glitz and glory that is the Kentucky Derby – did you know you can place your bets on finding the hottest fashions, prettiest horses and all the fun at a track a little closer to home? Recently, a few of my blogger friends and I were guests of America’s Best Racing and visited the historical Saratoga Race Track in Saratoga Springs, NY. Check out some of the racing fun and fashions found at our day at the races below.
On your mark, get set, GO! In addition to the beautiful stables filled with race horses trained to win, the racing experience begins way before you step foot inside of the racing center. You can’t just show up for a fascinating day of racing without the right fashions from head to toe. That’s why my girls and I made our way to Dora Marra for luxurious fascinators to kick our day at the races off right. Dora Marra offered a variety of stylish head pieces for our big day at the races. We were like kids in a candy store looking for the perfect fascinator for Saratoga [Check out our hilarious behind the scenes video and more photos from our Dora Marra shopping day.]
The fascinating fashion: Picking the right attire for the races isn’t an easy feat. I wanted a dress that wouldn’t show up my amazing feather fascinator, but I also wanted to dress for the weather (which is unusually hot and humid for this time of year in upstate New York). I opted for this coral and cream number which got it’s fair share of compliments while at the races.
Necklace & Accessories: J. Crew / Michael Kors
The fascinating horses: There were plenty of thoroughbred horses on display at the Saratoga Race Course grounds, many of them were seasoned pros just waiting for their next chance to prove themselves on the track. This beautiful runner was not only very active, he practically made posing for a selfie impossible. Every time I got in close enough for a good selfie, he’d move in for a kiss (or headbutt) and I freaked out. Eventually we settled on a topic of conversation that made us both calm, happy and ready for our candid photo.
Place your bets: Did you know that you can enjoy the races with or without placing your bets? With bets starting at $1 – I couldn’t see why you wouldn’t want to get your feet wet with a little wager. Tickets to the races start as low as $5 (that’s cheaper than a movie ticket!) While there, guests enjoy the sun, shopping, food and up close and personal thoroughbred moments throughout the 350-acre racetrack in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
Although the season has come to an end, visiting the Saratoga Race Track next summer should definitely be on your to-do list. It’s the perfect opportunity to grab your girlfriends, dress up and enjoy a fabulous day of fun! For more information on Saratoga Racing and to plan your next trip visit NYRA.com. In case you’re looking to get into some racing fun before next summer, you can also check out the fall racing schedule throughout at Belmont Park in Hempstead (Long Island) NY below:
Huge thanks to Dan, Victoria and the entire NYRA team for a lovely day in Saratoga Springs, I can’t wait to do it again soon!
Anyone who knows me, knows that leggings aren’t just an essential part of my wardrobe… they’re an essential part of my life! From traveling cross-country to dashing in style without the fuss, my favorite leggings from 20Legz have been there every step of the way this summer and I just had to share a few easy-breezy Do’s and Don’ts style tips to help you step into easy flawless style with designer legs from 20Legz below.
Packing a punch with perforated florals
Sometimes you just want to celebrate with flowers. These Flora leggings from 20Legz celebrates any look with a splash of color, pattern and texture all in one. Adding this burst of color to any bold colored top instantly upgrades any look and takes the basic comfort of leggings up a notch with feminine flair. One thing that I love about all my leggings from 20Legz is that no matter the style, they’re super comfortable and have just the right stretch to stay in place for all day wear.
DO pair leggings with high heels or wedges, or even tall or ankle boots to boost the illusion of height. If you’re tall, you can rock your leggings with heels, boots, sneakers or ballet flats.
DON’T wear tight tops with leggings to avoid any extra, unsightly bulges on top or at the bottom.
Get artsy with Art Deco limbs
If standing out is important to you, the Van Gough leggings are the bees-knees! I always get compliments from men and women anytime I step out in my favorite art-inspired legwear. These art deco geometric print ankle leggings are 95% polyester, 5% spandex and 100% fun! During a racing adventure in Portland, Oregon I took my Van Gough leggings for a spin while test driving the new 2015 Dodge Challenger. Paired with my favorite sheer cobalt blue blouse, statement necklace from J. Crew and heels – I was ready to ride in style!
DO wear tops that cover your bumb! Leggings should always be worn with long tops, jumpers, dresses, skirts or shorts. Anything that covers your but is fine, otherwise you will give too much exposure to your intimate parts and that is never good nor stylish.
DON’T overuse color-on-color. Try simple black or neutral tones (or nude colors) leggings to go with a bright-colored outfit.
Feeling Needy With Knee Patched Leggings
Running low on stylish options, the Knee Patch leggings offers the perfect alternative with a mix of texture and monochromatic feel that goes with anything. Pair theses comfortable black leggings with a something vibrant and bright or just plain black and white (and leave the color to the accessories). I wore these on a recent NYC shopping adventure in SoHo and paired it with a floral tunic from White House | Black Market and geometric sneakers from Peter Pilotto for Target.
DO team patterned leggings with a simple statement/slogan T-shirt, a belted tunic or minidress for visual interest. I love matching patterned tops with similar patterned kicks, balance it off with neutral, yet stylish leggings like these and you’re set to go.
DON’T wear tight tops with leggings to avoid any extra, unsightly bulges on top or at the bottom. You don’t want to show off too many lovely lady lumps.
Thinking about taking the plunge with these vibrant leggings? You can find all sorts of creative and stylish leggings all for $20 today. Check out the wide assortment of leggings available from 20Legz by visiting them online at 20Legz.com and get social by connecting with 20Legz for new releases and giveaways on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter today.
I’m one of those people who suck at new year fitness resolutions, I just can’t keep it consistent and get it right. Although I’m not a huge fan of traditional workouts and get bored with workout routines easily, that doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy fitness activities such as bike riding, skating and more. During a biking summit earlier this month, I was introduced to the latest in wearable technology that would change the way I work out forever, discover how Celliant changed the way I feel about fitness below.
Celliant technology in a nutshell is a hybrid of fiber-filled textiles that recycles your body heat into a boost of infrared energy. Since wearing incorporating Celliant gear into my workout wardrobe, I have significantly noticed a improved circulation and almost elimination of sore muscles and joints.
Developed by leading experts in medicine, physics and biology, as well as a dedicated Scientific Advisory Board, Celliant a proprietary fiber that is loaded with a potent mix of thermo-reactive minerals. Powered by our own metabolism, it is more hybrid engine than textile. It recycles and converts radiant body heat into something that gives the body a measurable boost—infrared energy.
Last week, I decided to put Celliant to the test with a 7-mile walk/run through New York City. Wearing a Celliant infused compression shirt from Saucony, along with Celliant athletic socks – I was able to explore the city and get a great afternoon workout with energy to spare. I didn’t have a sluggish post-workout hangover and had minimal traces of sore feet whatsoever. Since Celliant promotes the benefits of improved circulation, cell performance and overall health, it’s no surprise that it delivered and gave me a boost of confidence and energy to want to workout more. And the science & testing behind it makes Celliant the most established and clinically tested infrared textile in the industry.
The beauty of Celliant technology is in the fibers. Because the deep woven fibers contain the technology, there are no wires, battery packs or worries that Celliant will break down or wash off – Celliant technology performs and lasts the lifetime of the material. This wearable technology can be found in an assortment of sportswear, accessories and even bedding and is sure to be included in more wearables that you already know and love.
There’s a limited variety on complete sports apparel available at this time (I can’t wait for Celliant sports bras, hoodies, and yoga pants to become available). You can currently shop an assortment of Celliant infused workout gear from tops, tights, socks, wraps and more at CelliantTX.com and connect with the technology behind the infrared fibers on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest today.

This is Detroit. Not bad huh? No, the city isn’t burning down in despair – as a matter of fact, it is alive, well and bursting at the seams with rich art and re-defining style everyday. While in Detroit, I decided to visit one of my favorite open art installations in the city – The Heidelburg Project. Known for its colorful backdrops of bright hues, political messaging and plenty of mixed media – this area has been around and re-defining how we look at art since 1986. Armed with a camera (a little extra time on my hands) and a crisp, sunny Spring day – take a look at my interpretation of the bright side of art and style below (…and let me know what you think!)
