DVF Fall 2013 Show Brings Bold Prints, Colors And Glam
February 11th, 2013 by ChristenIf you’ve ever imagined yourself our clubbing during the height of the glam rock era, you might just find yourself adorned in Diane Von Furstenberg’s Fall 2013 Collection. Mixed with heavy prints, bold colors and bright patterns – the disco-infused theme wasn’t just the inspiration for the fall collection, it heavily influenced the runway soundtrack instantly transforming the DVF Fall 2013 show audience to a less-than-typical evening at the iconic Studio 54.

One by one as each model graced the runway, we saw it all including DVF signature wrap dresses, blazer and skinny pants in “fetish pink,” gold lamé jackets, a turquoise floor-length halter dress, a rabbit-fur black vest, and a dress made of chain mail. Dizzying black-and-white prints were inspired by graphic artist M.C.

Diane Von Furstenberg described her woman for next fall: “Wrapped in a swirl of twisted chain link, she steps into the night. With New York Fashion Week in my rear view, I’m reminded how I came into my NYFW fashion ideas with the thought of comfort in mind. Luckily, fashion and comfort can coexist under the tents at Lincoln Center.

NYFW – Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2012: Sultry, Seductive & Bold
February 14th, 2012 by ChristenOnce the music began, the seduction that is DVF spilled in. This season’s DVF looks may have donned the same color palette as other collections but the designs are altogether different. From beautiful body hugging dresses to bordeaux pencil skirts and beautiful color-blocked electric tones throughout the entire collection – the seducing appeal of this collection is enough to bring out the diva in anyone.
Not surprisingly, prints made appearances within the collection, but unlike other designer collections you won’t find an overbalance of hounds tooth here. But don’t take my word for it, take a look at the rest of the Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2012 collection for yourself…
