I found the CFDA designer collection of accessories at Best Buy and I just couldn’t resist a new Isaac Mizrahi gold trim laptop sleeve for my MacBook Air. When it comes to durable accessories that can protect my investment (plus add a little style to my closet) – this is it! Not only is it a chic sleeve but it can also work with practically any look as a stylish oversized clutch bag. (In the clutch, you better believe I’ll wear this as a cute envelope clutch bag and go!)
Undoubtedly, what I love most about this laptop sleeve is the distinct details. From the gold trim zipper to the gold zipper handle “I” – everything about this accessory compliments the overall sleek style that any girl wants to have while traveling with her laptop in tow. Leave the briefcase and big totes behind when you’re carrying this sleeve (I mean, something as chic as this deserves to be out and center, relishing in all the attention that it deserves.)
Even if color is your thing, the Issac Mizrahi laptop sleeve offers a bevy of floral colors on its interior padded pocket, and also comes in vibrant pink and black with gold polka dots. All three designs/colors are available for $39.99 and makes the perfect stocking stuffer gift for any stylish girl on your holiday gift list.
In addition to stylish laptop sleeves, Isaac Mizrahi, Ana Sui, Kate Spade and Nanette Lepore has a variety of smartphone cases and tablet covers for the iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S4/s5, iPad mini and more! The fashion industry pulled out its fancy frocks and indulged to celebrate Seventh Avenue’s next generation of designers at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund dinner. The Fund, now in its ninth year, provides money and mentoring to promising designers. And over time, with its impressive list of winners and finalists who continue to build their businesses and attract acclaim, the program has set an international standard for nurturing talent and breathing fresh air into an industry that thrives on innovation. Burberry CCO Christopher Bailey and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour, Chanel Iman, Rachel Roy and Liya Kebede were among the stylish celebs who attended the 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards last night in NYC.
Model Liya Kebede, rocked a Proenza Schouler dress and black sandals alongside Proenza Schouler designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough (past winners of the design award) and Liv Tyler (also in Proenza Schouler)
This year’s big winner was Greg Chait for his lush knitwear-based collectionThe Elder Statesman. Tabitha Simmons, a former stylist and wife of photographer Craig McDean, was a runner-up with her fanciful footwear. And joining Simmons on the runners-up platform was jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, wife of actor Tobey Maguire, who thanked her grandmother for teaching her how to make enameled baubles when Meyer was just 6 years old. They will all receive business mentoring. Chait wins $300,000; Simmons and Meyer will each get $100,000.

If you didn’t notice under the tents in February eBay and the CFDA came together during New York Fashion Week with a campaign against counterfeit fashion. Following last year’s sold-out summer collection, eBay and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) introduced a new collection of original totes to raise awareness against counterfeit goods and celebrate original design. The collection includes more than 75 one-of-a-kind totes each customized by CFDA designers ($200), as well as four styles of standard totes ($45) — available exclusively on eBay. All proceeds benefit the CFDA Foundation.
Here are a few of our favorite customized bags (ALREADY SOLD OUT) but no worries, you can still pick up the standard totes (they’re plenty still available on eBay)
Or you can spend the same on a counterfit bag still available on eBay as well. SMH
