According to the “CrowdFlower Apple Watch Social Data Study,” 55% of Apple Watch consumers (and potential consumers) are loving the new gadget, while 45% have tweeted a less-than-positive response.
To conduct this study, CrowdFlower [www.crowdflower.com] — a data enrichment platform that collects, cleans, and labels big data sets — analyzed more than** **30,000 individual tweets about the Apple Watch since its launch on April 24. Other notable findings include:
WOMEN MORE ENTHUSED THAN MEN
* 64% of women expressed positive feelings toward the new gadget, while men are less enthused at a 53% overall approval rating. (Sentiment about the product has slumped a bit since its official announcement, when almost 74% of women and over 56% of men were excited and intended to purchase it.)
‘VARIETY OF APPS’ IS MOST-LOVED FEATURE
* By far, the most-loved element of the Watch are the variety of apps, which were cited 56% of the time when discussing its positive features. Specifically, Apple Watch owners tweeted in large numbers that the “health and fitness apps” are very useful and accurate.
