If you’re familiar with taking photos on your smartphone, you already know how limiting the standard lens can be. There have been many accessories promising improved smartphone photographs through filters and external lenses but none of them have been more popular to date, than the Olloclip 4-in-1 lens system. The olloclip 4-in-1 lens system is one of the most popular smartphone lens solutions, and it comes with a wide angle lens, fisheye lens and two macro lenses to complete versatility in any photography setting.
This set includes a wide angle and fisheye lens, which can be easily converted into 10X and 15X macro lenses by unscrewing the outermost part of each. The compact design means that instead of four lenses you’re carrying around just one small accessory, which will easily fit in your pocket or elsewhere. Olloclip slides onto the iPhone and comes off easily and the lenses are attached securely, but you can’t use olloclip if your iPhone has a case. There are convenient lens caps for each of the lenses, and you also get a soft bag that you can use for storage or cleaning.
Wide Angle lens
It’s not always possible to fit in everything in one photo, which is what the wide angle lens is for. The wide angle lens isn’t the best in optical quality, but for iphoneography it definitely does the trick and give you the width of the canvas that you’re looking for.
The fisheye lens works exactly as you would expect and delivers the photos that you’ve come to know and love. However, you have to be careful when shooting your photos with the fisheye lens as I have found that my fingertips somehow get caught in the shot, unless I’m extremely careful before pressing the shutter.
10x lens / 15x macro lens
The macro lenses are very useful for macro photography. You can’t do macro photography without a macro lens, so olloclip 4-in-1 can open an entirely new world of creativity for you. I used the 10x lens and the 15x macro lens on tea bag packaging and the contents. You can see that both the 10x and 15x lens delivers in quality and makes the macro photography experiences worthwhile for use on text and shooting other objects, while on the go.
Olloclip 4-in-1 is available for iPhone 4/4s and iPhone 5/5s for $69. Do you love taking photos on your iPhone? Would you consider yourself an iphoneographer? What are some of your favorite iPhone camera accessories that you use? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

I’ve always been obsessed with functional and fashionable gadgets, since childhood. My first stylish gadget was a pink smart watch with a flashlight & calculator that all my friends wanted to covet for themselves. Fast forward years later in a world where smart watches are being released every other day, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype of the latest and greatest in gadgets. But how do you know which smart watch is right for you?
A few months ago, I was introduced to Martian Watches and their latest award-winning innovation the Notifier watch that was released in stores last month. Now that I have one on my wrist, it’s like my Girl Scouts moments all over again but this time it’s never coming off.
Check out why I’m in love with the new Martian Notifier smart watch below.
Simple style: The Martian Notifier is a classic analog watch with a simplistic feel that’s far from simple. The interchangeable bands keep up with my ever-changing style or I can keep it simple and monochromatic with my all-black timepiece that’ll go with everything!
The Martian Notifier is an attractive, colorful analog wristwatch with an integrated OLED readout that acts as a hands-free gateway to the world, keeping you well informed while your phone remains in a pocket, purse or backpack. This unique smartwatch gives you the ability to receive real-time alerts and notifications on your wrist. Used in conjunction with the free Martian Notifier App, you will automatically receive notifications — including Caller ID, texts, Facebook, Twitter, Weather, Email, Calendar, Instagram, Pinterest, favorite games, bank alerts, fitness stats, and any other alert your device allows. You can also initiate voice commands on your smartphone’s speakerphone for uses such as “read text” while you’re on the move.
Function: A touch of a Notifier button activates your smartphone’s speakerphone, enabling hundreds of voice commands to control music, check a sports score, get directions, search the web, create a reminder or appointment, and more. You can also decline an incoming call, set silent vibrating alarms that only you will sense, get a once-an-hour tickler to remind you to take a break, turn on an LED light to see in a dark room, control your phone’s camera shutter, and more.
You can now find Martian Notifier at Best Buy, Target, Bloomingdales, and Meijer! For more information on the Martian Notifier smart watch visit MartianNotifier.com and connect on Facebook, Twitter andPinterest today.
You’re low on battery power and there’s no power outlet in sight — what do you do? There’s no greater feeling of anxiety or power planning remorse than when your smartphone power indicator reads 1%. Luckily, full mobile protection just got an upgrade with the powered up Resurgence case by OtterBox. Otterbox has just launched the latest in their suite of stylish, yet functional smartphone accessories. The Otterbox Resurgence collection offers high-speed charging technology in a sleek yet case design.
The Resurgence case comes prepackaged with a two-piece snap designed case, mini usb cord and headphone jack extender. Resurgence is made up of a formulated polycarbonate to improve impact from drops and bumps. A metallic finish with soft touch coating gives the power case a polished look and pleasant feel during in hand use.
The Resurgence power case comes pre-charged but in order to obtain a full charge you simply connect the USB to a power source. When connected to a power source the phone charges first, then the case begins to charge.
The Resurgence battery case supports both wired and wireless syncing without removing the case and includes a headphone jack extender which doubles as a headphone cord keeper. The mini USB connects to the case which is already equipped with a iPhone lightning adapter – if you’re like me an use multiple devices, you can now toss your iPhone usb cord in a drawer because this case eliminates the need for carrying multiple USB cords at once.
The headphone jack extender/cord keeper is a necessary accessory only if you like to remove your headphones often. Otherwise, its a bit cumbersome a feels like an extra accessory that’s easy to misplace or lose. In the future, I’d like to see a design with the extender built-in (the less unnecessary accessories, the better).
The 2000 milliamp (mAh) Resurgence case doubles the battery life of your iPhone (or Samsung) device. The iPhone 5s battery case utilizes auto-stop technology, which conveniently shuts off the case when the phone has reached a full charge, saving extra battery power for later and eliminating the need to closely watch the device’s battery level when charging.
To view case the case charge level, simply tap the status LED button on the front of the case. The button will blink three times and the final illumination of the four lit sections will identify available case power in 25% increments.
Overall, the Resurgence power case is an essential addition to your iPhone 5/5s. It looks great, feels great and has the functionality of keeping you charged while on the go. Now if only we could figure out a way to add the OtterBox Commuter Wallet function to the power case… a girl can dream, right?
Resurgence power cases are now available in black, glacier, teal shimmer or satin rose on at select retail locations for $99.95. For more information or to order online visit OtterBox.com.
Stylish smartphone protection isn’t always easy to find. Sometimes the style outweighs the protection elements, and let’s face it, most of the time the really protective smartphone cases aren’t very stylish at all. Recently, I got the opportunity to try out the OtterBox Commuter series cases which offer just enough style and protection that any on the go woman (or man) could use.
The Commuter series cases are one of the best cases I’ve put my hands on. Not only are the cases protective, but once you entrust your smartphone within its grasp it’s feels downright indestructible!
3D Commuter Series Western Flower
Protection: The Commuter series cases come with 2 layers of protection (actually it’s three). It includes an inner rubber case, a hard shell exterior AND an easy to install clear screen protector. Smartphone ports need protection from crumbs, dust and everything else too and OtterBox keeps the debris out with easy to maneuver port covers. After placing my iPhone 5s in this case, I literally felt like I could toss the phone across the room and it wouldn’t suffer a scratch, dent or one but of damage from impact. This case keeps your device so secure that it took longer to remove the protective case than it did to install it. (It was so secure that I was a little timid in maneuvering the removal for fear of damaging my device.) That’s real protection.
Style: The 3D Commuter series western flower case in sea foam, is a feminine break away from the typical glitter, rhinestone and pretty in pink cases. The two tone of aqua teal hues, coupled with the 3D floral design was a welcome standout to what’s considered as fashionable smartphone accessories.
Overall: As one of the most protective OtterBox Commuter cases that I’ve used, this case definitely gets an “A” for protection and “A” for style. What more could you want from a smartphone accessory that showcases your personal style while protecting your beloved device!
Commuter Series Wallet
Protection: The Commuter series cases come with 2 layers of protection (actually it’s three). It includes an inner rubber case, a hard shell exterior AND an easy to install clear screen protector. Smartphone ports need protection from crumbs, dust and everything else too and OtterBox keeps the debris out with easy to maneuver port covers.
Style: This case isn’t the most stylish, but it is protective and quite practical. The OtterBox Wallet secret card tray houses 3-4 cards. (I used mine to keep my ID, bank card and Metro Card in my hands at all times, since you can rarely catch me without my smartphone in hand.) It’s not as stylish as one would expect, which is why I added some flare with a mirrored protective screen cover. This practical smartphone case is now a wallet and a mirror. SCORE!
Overall: As one of the most protective OtterBox Commuter cases, this case wallet case is handy when going out without a bag or purse. It easily slides in and out of your pocket with ease. Now that I’ve added a mirrored protective case it’s a welcomed update from a one dimensional practical accessory into three and that makes me a pretty happy gal!

If you like many bi-cellular consumers toting around two or more smartphones everyday, then Ive got some good news for you. What if you could add the best features from one smartphone and add it to another? As much as I love my iPhone 5s – there’s just something so familiar and convenient about having a QWERTY keyboard for crafting emails and texts on the go. The market for keyboard-equipped phones is ever evolving and now media guru Ryan Seacrest is jumping into the mix – the American Idol host is convinced that messaging mavens need real buttons. The king behind “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” he’s jumping into hardware and launching the Typo Keyboard for the iPhone 5 and 5s.
The Bluetooth case turns an Apple device into a makeshift BlackBerry Q10, complete with backlit, sculpted keys that cover up the iPhone’s home button; (aka no access to the home button means – no multitasking for you.) The Typo Keyboard will make its formal debut at CES in early January, and it should ship that month for $99.
The Typo Keyboard case isn’t the first product to attempt to bring a QWERTY keyboard to the iPhone. Others from BoxWave and Dobi have all tried to solve this age-old problem, but the use of Bluetooth is frustrating and the keyboards themselves were slow and added a lot of heft to the phone. We’ll just have to wait and see if the Typo Keyboard will indeed change the game or if it’ll wind up as just another failed iPhone bluetooth accessory . For more visit TypoKeyboards.com.
