Microsoft Announces Xbox Fitness, Helping You Get Fit On Your New Gaming Console
Xbox One and Xbox Fitness:
Coming alongside the new Xbox One console is a new subscription-based fitness plan called Xbox Fitness. This new feature helps take the fitness power of the Kinect to the next level. Thanks to the new Kinect’s new abilities to track your heart rate without an additional monitor, measure your transfer of weight, power used, as well as your balance and form.
What Features Does Xbox Fitness Bring?
Xbox Fitness brings you workouts form celebrity trainers like Julian Michaels, Tracy Anderson from the Metamorphosis workouts, Tony Horton of P90X fame, and Shaun T from the Insanity workouts. Fitness members will have access to a library of their various/popular workouts that range form 10 to 60 minutes.
“Introducing the future of fitness. Experience the world’s best workouts with instant, personalized feedback, right in your home on Xbox Fitness. Train with Jillian Michaels, Tracy Anderson, P90X, Insanity and more. Optimize every workout with immediate feedback on your form, power and heart rate with the all new Kinect, featuring Muscle Mapping, Power Gauge, and Pulse. Plus, feed your motivation with social challenges. Unlimited access is yours for free with an Xbox Live Gold membership for a limited time. Only on Xbox One.*”
Xbox Fitness Requirements
Xbox Fitness will be free for Xbox Live Gold members until December 2014. You will have unlimited access to all of their videos until the aforementioned date. I’m presuming there will be an additional charge added after that. Xbox Fitness will, of course, be a Xbox One exclusive.
